Merry Christmas I'd say #2, 3 and 1 in that order and I would love to grow them all for you in our crazy Mississippi weather.(hint hint)

It's rained here all day and been pretty cold, about 45. I'm not complaining about the rain, but it sure would be nice to see some sunshine. It's been cloudy for 5 days now. We all had a fantastic Christmas. The kids are happy and I'm happy and stuffed!!! I think the stuffed part is great except when I try to tie my shoes..

I send blessings to everyone and Lyle and all please keep showing your pretty pictures. Mona

All but one of my daylilies are looking very robust. I think the one that's not doing too well is "Susie Seedling" This will be year two... we'll see how she does.

I live just a few miles from Lyle (south elevation) so we might experience similar growth (except he has MUCH better soil than I do!)

Lyle and family are very warm and welcoming hosts in his garden. It's a sight to behold! I always look forward to May shows!
“Don't give up too quickly"... unknown, I heard it somewhere.

Hi there Susie! Welcome!

Realizing that I live in the north, on the daylilies I had this year that didn't seem to do well, I hit them with a daylily booster recipe I got off of Tinkers. The recipe is as follows: 1 tsp Epsom salt, 1 oz sorghum molasses (I used the molasses in my kitchen cupboard!) 1 TBS baking soda, all in 1 gallon of water. Worked wonders and really boosted those couple of plants I tried it on. Wish I had found this recipe earlier - perhaps I wouldn't have lost a plant I had bought that never did well. I used it on a seedling that didn't do well after transplanting, and a couple of established plants that I moved. Really perked them up. Since you live so close to Lyle, bet he has some suggestions that could help you with that one that is struggling. ~Jan
