I do hope you folks are also adding these 'whole plant' photos to the general database. Seeing a close-up (or 20) of a single daylily (or any flower for that matter) is not particularly helpful when trying to visualize how a plant will look in situ. I really appreciate photos of the whole plant, labeled landscape photos, and closeups of leaves, stems, and buds for ID purposes. I'd love to see all the photo categories more represented.

Another with the paint bucket for scale. This container isn't as large as the big clay pots in diameter. I don't know what the composition is. Some sort of light concrete (it's not as heavy as normal concrete would be) painted to give the appearance of clay. Heavy enough the wind doesn't topple it over. This is 'Spacecoast Tigertail Tango'. The blooms have some bruising from some hard overnight rain, but it looked great today from a short way off.

Crazy Miss Daisy--really showed up big time this morning with eight lovely blooms. Fortunately, I went out fairly early to take pictures because it is raining now and I know they would never have looked this good after a rainstorm.

South Seas hasn't been doing much for us the past couple of years, but now this year has perked up and there are a number of nice blooms today, plus an added bonus:

South Seas

The bonus is right on top, being King Of The Hill---or actually, the daylilies. Isn't he a good looking guy?

Just had a senior moment by forgetting that Seven Seas is really South Seas. I have made the correction. Thank you, Larry, for catching that.

I could post clumps now but as a northern grower they would all be green. Have 150 plus plants and maybe 15 are just pushing up scapes. I will have a few blooms in June but peak is all of July. By August we will be on the downside of things with final blooms late in the month and some rebloomers in September.
Seems like soon after Christmas you southern growers are digging orders and posting blooms. Lol.
I know a hybridizer who sells and ships and every year she has to tell buyers to be patient because our summer takes awhile to get going. We have had some really heavy rains all of May and nothing puts a damper on digging like flooded flower beds.
But hey as soon as i get clumps in bloom, i will proudly post.
Question, how long is the southern bloom season? And i know it will vary but i am curious.

This year my first bloom was April 3rd. I think peak bloom came a week maybe two earlier than normal...the second or third week in May. Due to nearly all my plants producing rebloom and many producing a series of rebloom I hope to have decent blooms through July, then just scattered blooms here and there, hopefully through Sept. Just depends on the weather.

The season here began April 7th, at least two/three weeks earlier than expected. Most of the early bloomers are small flowers. The large flowers started around April 25th. This is so dependent on weather, and if we have a very warm year, there can be flowers here into October.
