If you already have a Perennial Garden, have one planned, or are just dreaming of one, tell us about it. Photos are good too. Smiling

Well my perennial garden got a little out of hand last summer, my big misteak was platning a tomato vine to run up the trellis. It did not go up it went out for eight feet and took over. I bought some coneflowers that didn't do too well, and my burgendy rudbeckia was brown. Grumbling I want to dig up the purple coneflower bush and the black eyed susan and have mostly coneflowers and rudbeckia and perhaps some Lorraine sunshine (false sunflowers) also I would like some different coreopsis as a low border plant across the front or maybe just go with some calendula's, I have seed for the kind that look like little tiny cactus dahlia. I have mostly butterfly bushes down the back fence and I would like to plant the large coneflowers between the butterfly bushes and maybe other plants that attract butterflies and birds.

I'll have to dig out my photos from previous years. My garden is a mix of plants in the ground and pots. At the beginning of the year we had our double wide moved out and a new home built. I had moved some plants so I wouldn't lose them, but they wiped out areas of my garden that I thought were out of the way. Angry I lost a lot of plants. But they did open up some new areas I didn't have before for planting at least.

Thanks everyone.
Susan, Yes, the purple one is a Geranium that's called Long Shot. The hanging basket is million bells.

The porch and most of those garden areas are gone now. But I have a new patio and front porch area and lots of new garden areas to work with now.

Wow, pretty, Joy. I know how you feel with the starting over. I moved here just two years ago and there was nothing but Bermuda grass, weeds, big old trees with big old roots and a few overgrown shrubs and vines. There were some languishing azaleas across the front of the house and two glossy Abelias. I got those under control and they have done well.

Very nice songofjoy, you have done a lot of work to that property. What is the little tree in the back yard, reminds me of my baby cherry tree but the leaves are bigger. My house was the same way, lot of work. I like the rocks beside the driveway, what is the little shrub with the pink flowers, it is certainly a cheerful little bush! Thumbs up

joy Thanks for the information about the geranium and million bells, got those on my wish list for spring. Thumbs up

Thank you, Susan. That tree is an Eastern Redbud, variety is 'Forest Pansy'.

Not sure which shrub you mean?

That's the right one, I figured it was some type of Redbud. My brother loves the Forest Pansy's, They grow wild in NC where he lives and he stops on the interstate and digs them up! Hilarious!
The shrub I was referring to is the one planted in the rocks. Beside car port on left side of driveway.
