They are in the Frederick, MD Aldi--in the front on one of the ends of the aisles. There were still 30 or so when I was in yesterday. They still had cheap berries and grapes, but the asparagus had gone up.

I just put mine together--but I think it is going to have to go down beside the house, in an unused flowerbed. It doesn't get much sun, but it is fairly protected by the side of the house. It is on the porch right now, but between the racks already there for our container herb garden--and the table and chairs, there is no more room. I have it tied in on the railing at the moment--we are on the second floor.

I still have one, maybe two, greenhouses available. Any takers?

Jill, maybe we can meet in the next week or so so you can get your greenhouse settled.

I got mine set up and full of daylily seeds. it will hold 1000 seed sponges, no problem. Far more than I will ever get planted. Perfect size to move around with sun. Of course what it is 33 in Fl for, in march, I cant explain.

Great idea to use them for seed sowing for perennials... probably half-hardy annuals soon, too.

Last call on the Aldi mini-greenhouses. I have 2 left at $21.20 incl tax. If no takers, I'm going to return them.

I'll take two rather than one. Not sure if I have room for 3. Oh heck I'll take a third and set it up at MIL's cottage. Maybe I can get her to walk around outside if she has zinnia flats to check on... ? I'll tree-mail you.

Aldi has a small, 18 1/2 gallon compost tumbler next week for $40. I may pick one up for making my own dirt. Throw some peat, perlite/vermiculite, sand and 'dirt' in, give it a few cranks and have ready-to-use stuff. Heaven knows it would be easier on my hands.

Jill, you might want to consider one for mixing hypertufa.

Rick, that's a great idea! I've thought about a little tumbler for that purpose, wondered where to get one reasonably (other than lucking into one at a yard sale!).

Rick, did you get a chance to check out that tumbler? Wondering if I need to make a quick Aldi's run...

Great news (for me)! A new Aldi's is opening up on our side of town this Thursday! It may be only 0.8 miles closer, but as you know it's not always just about distance. This one is on the far side of FSK mall, near the closer Lowes, and basically in a direction we often go for other things, making it easy to stop by.

Hoping for Grand Opening Specials...

Larry didn't think it was worth it. Then again, he isn't the one that does the mixing! It comes dis-assembled in a box about 30x30x6. The size of the box didn't give me a great feeling on durability.

OK. I'd need something pretty durable, using it for potting mix and 'tufa. Thanks!

Rick, I spotted this while searching on Amazon and thought it might be the sort of thing you guys would be able to engineer from a couple of 5 gallon buckets and a pvc pipe frame... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073FB1QBT/

I also found a suggestion about using a bulb auger drill attachment to mix potting soil... I have one of those somewhere (didn't work on our compacted soil)... might try it

Did you pick one up and take a look inside? Just curious... I've got 20 bags from Lowe's in my car at present, so I should be good for a bit...

BTW, if you use your Lowe's card for lawn & garden you get an extra 10% off, maybe just through tomorrow, don't recall. Nice surprise at the register!
