@RickM- I also shop at the Quince Orchard store but never been there on the weekend.
Since retiring, have the ability to shop during the weekday afternoons.
I've had an interesting (annoying) thing happen twice with the shopping carts. You know how you put in a quarter to get a cart, but when you check out, the cashier puts your items in the cart of the person that was ahead of you. Twice now, when I return the cart , instead of a quarter, out comes either a fake coin or a foreign coin. Now, I ask to keep my cart when checking out.
When the world wearies and society ceases to satisfy, there is always the GARDEN

Haven't had that happen, but doesn't surprise me. I'm surprised that it doesn't happen more often.

I'l usually have my cart unloaded on the belt before the cashier starts my order. That way, I just push the one by her out of the way and use mine.

At the Aldi's near my parents, in Pittsburgh, I almost never have to dig out a quarter. People pass their carts along to the next person who pulls up. I always offer a quarter, but I don't think it's ever been accepted. When I'm done with my cart, I offer it along in turn. That's just what Pittsburgh is like! Lovey dubby

Jill, I find that to be commonplace at the store in Frederick too.

I guess the foreign coin could be your 'Aldi quarter". I even saw key fobs on Etsy designed to hold your quarter and keep it handy. I just threaten Mark never to use my last quarter in my car. Glare Smiling
Plant it and they will come.

I went up to walgreens for a couple things to avoid Publix. Grocery store just a mess. Im putting together a pck up order at wal mart now. That pick up service is just the best.
The Aldi prices in area are a bit higher, I was surprised when I had to type in zip code, and they changed.

I keep forgetting about the new pickup service at WM, haven't tried it yet.

I'll stop at Aldi's this coming week, for sure! They had 79 cent pomegranates las week... smallish, but still!

Aldi prices on some things at my Dad's were surprisingly higher in New Port Richey, Fla. Most were close to the same, but some stuff was a better price at Mall Wart. Produce was one of them. I hate food shopping down there and conduct nearly all my business at Saves-A-Lot, Aldi, and WM. I really don't understand why some things cost so much more. I keep thinking fleece the old folks. Aldi opened closer to me. Went there 1 day after opening day. Bought $0.59 cents large eggs, brioche dinner rolls and dry cure ham. And delicious Snap Dragon apples. The apples are small, and I prefer small apples. Crunchy and sweet. So now I have 3 favorite apples: Jazz, Snap-Dragon, and Ambrosia. All sweet and crisp.
They had 10 pounds russet potatoes for $1.39. Saw a woman buying 4 bags! I did not buy, they would end up rotten. I do like potatoes, but 10 pounds for 1 person is too too many. Bought lots of crackers type snacks with cheese. I just love them.-- A closer Aldi is going to open next year. About 5 minutes drive from my house. It used to be a Vietnamese restaurant with dancing on week-ends I think called Galaxy. Had wonderful 'salad' made with baby clams, served with a large 'cracker' with black sesame seeds. One of my favorite foods, that finally I learned to make. The owner decided he wanted to go back to Vietnam. So Halalco took over the store, a Pakistani halal food store, who lost its space nearby when a neighboring store caught fire and the whole strip mall had to be vacated. So now he is again looking for another place. I buy my goat meat there. Its neighbor used to be a Russian store and both of them will be the new Aldi. The Russian store is empty already, they had lots of European jams. Expensive.
Talking about Russia: to my surprise I found a Georgian dumpling recipe exactly like the dumplings from Shanghai: Xiao Long Bao! My guess is that Georgians moved to Shanghai and then went back and brought Xiao Long Bao and made it their own. Yummy dumplings that Donnerville often brings to our meetings.

Potatoes sprout so fast for me too. Maybe I need to keep them in the fridge, but I thought I read you weren't supposed to.

Aldi near us, two stores, have renovated and expanded. My closest store really needs a space with more parking. It's been very busy, partly due to work giving us the customers from the farther store.
Plant it and they will come.

Picked up a nice 6 qt. Dutch oven at Aldi today for $20! Ones by Le Creuset are 15 times that price.

Nice!
A large (10- 12") skillet with a grey flecked coating from Aldi is my favorite skillet. Heavy weight, good coating. I keep watching for them to offer that in another size.
Plant it and they will come.

They finally had the crock pot liners back in stock. I picked up a year+ supply (64 liners) for under $20. Even WalMart can't match that price.

I am a newbie here--but love my Aldi. Excellent chocolates.

My local Aldi's (Frederick, MD) just renovated, and it is wonderful. I heard a rumor they were considering opening another store nearby, but that has not been verified.

The fruit is great! Heading over today.
