Ginny-- That's OK. I did not post in the morning, you would have been dragging if you had waited your coffee on me. Just depends on picture files when I can post. Oh, the camera is hard, I have to delete almost every picture I take. I have been working hard on taking pics also on the tablet. I have outside pictures , but I am trying to figure out how to put a blur on the address. Hope your garden project is going well

Debra-- You are also a fantastic photographer! I have always liked your pictures, you capture the spirit of the flower. I appreciate it more, when trying to capture it myself.

I stepped outside and was greeted by this

Not unusual except it never paid attention to me. Anoles always get ready to bolt. Then I saw I stepped into the middle of a stand off. You will have to click on photo to see.

I guess it was a girl thing. Neither one had red on the throat.

Single Knock Out Roses. I need to get in there and deadhead and lightly prune.


Liatris- Gay feather is starting to bloom. Unlike most flower spikes, it opens the top blooms and works its way down. I used to have quite a few. They reseeded into the "unhybridized". They put up multiple split tops, each spike was short. Those I weeded out. Liatris are spring corms, I need to make a note to put more in.


Maynight Salvia- I dead headed about 10 days ago, it's in bloom again! Powerhouse of a garden plant! Mine have all come from one plant and have given it away, too!


Tropical Milkweed! Good bloomer but then it would have to be to attract all those butterflies. It sets seeds several times a year.
Here it is with seed pods already! I will try to catch just before they
open.


And just because it is beautiful! I love Zinnias!


I am blessed and my garden is blessed so I pray that...

Love all your pictures and commentary! May Night is one tough salvia, it has been in my garden for many years the only one that could endure for the long term.

Ginny --that is what May likes to deadhead and rain!

Betty-- I agree it is one tough salvia. We refer to Maynight as the lawnmower salvia, twice it had been accidentally mowed over. It came back even stronger.

Sharon, some days, I may have 80 images on the camera, but, by the time I wade through and edit, I might have five worth keeping. Some days, I may have 20 images on the camera and have six worth keeping.

Sharon your yard looks amazing I bet it's just breathtaking every time you walk outside. We are about to get 8 days of rain so play time in the garden for me is not going to be an option. Hopefully you'll have more lovely photos to upload soon and brighten up the rainy days to come.

Debra-- I have not had one outside picture turn out yet on a camera! I have been better able to work with my tablet. Camera screen is too small for my eyesight.

Daniel-- Hopefully it won't be damaging storms! Not all bad if you can spend some quality time together inside with your beautiful family!

Hi! I am so glad you are here! May today surround you in love and happiness! Let's chat. Ever have one of those days that you plan to go in one direction, but it clearly is not going to work out?
My mornings start with a cup of coffee and a garden walk around.
These days looking for what daylilies I am going to photograph.
Finish coffee and photograph. In my horror there is my 6 to 7 inch, So Lovely, daylily chewed off the scape laying on the ground. So I picked her up and said, " where is my So Lovely?" Kind of like Where is Waldo. An idea was born. In silliness, I started playing Where is So Lovely.




I could have laid her on top of where she fell off, and acted like nothing had happened. Or I could have simply thrown her away. Or when the unexpected happens, do the unexpected! You just might achieve even better results! So Lovely it is!

I'm thinking you have a great idea for trying to figure out where to move a daylily for the greatest impact. Lovely combos with So Lovely Isn't gardening fun!!!!
