Hurray! That plumeria In that pot up there is much larger and leaning this year, I may have to tie it up when I bring it in the house. But look it what I saw this morning.Thumb of 2011-07-11/Ridesredmule/187edd

What makes the main stem of a plumeria lean? My main stem was straight when my plant started leafing out now it's leaning, and due to the plant being top heavy, the plant keeps falling over. Is there any way to get this plant to start growing straight again?

This time of year there is a lot of new growth, and the leaves often are heavy with rain. I suggest you clip some of the older leaves off.

Mine have gotten over the Tornado and are now all leafed out, no leaning, they are real straight, but no signes of buds yet.

I think it is time I got back to this forum. All the cuttings I potted up seem to be doing very well. I'll have to gather them up and take a picture. Have some white ones blooming, oh they smell so good. I just gave them a drink of worm tea. I know plumeria don't like their feet wet and I always worry about over watering them or not giving them enough water.

I think you need to grit your teeth and accept that it might be next year.... sorry to say.

Rather than Bloombooster (which is really designed for annuals) I would just give a good well-balanced fertilizer, such as Dynamite 13-13-13.

When I was in Manila for the past 2.5 months, I have seen lots and lots of Plumerias, they just love the weather there indeed! They grow like weed over there, and how I wish my Plumies will behave that way as well. Even though it is rainy season there, I do not think the plants mind the heavy rains, as long as they get their fair amount of heat afterwards. It was very very humid there, like being in a sauna 24 hours a day. And I guess the Plumies really thrive in it.

My one and only remaining Plumie here is still struggling to survive, though finally starting to show some leaves and a hint of a flower. My question is, do you think I should repot this little one? Trying to catch up with fertilizing it. It may be the end of summer, but we are still getting high 90's to triple digit heat over here in Northern Cali.

This photo was taken around mid June 2011.
