Beautiful job Fred, makes we wish it was May here so could be outside in my yard. We haven't even had hardly any snow here in iowa. Odd. Kim

Well she did it, arrived with a dozen daylilies from James Hall yesterday, you had better watch her, she is working the system from both ends. Really had a great visit from Michele and Kim. The plants were spiders, except one, and will go in the new area. Two were new intros from James, one spider and one large.

Buddy's Droopy has a 9 inch bloom on a 32 inch scape, Buddie's Red Head has a 6 inch bloom on a 28 inch scape, both are tets. James registered several flowers this year but I think this is the only two he is releasing for 2012.
Made new labels for everything in the display area yesterday, also started cleaning the bed with the iris, so I can get them fertilized and mulched.

Fred,

Does James Hall have a website?

Or, maybe I can buy it from you when you have enough next year.......

Here's the stats for BUDDY'S DROOPY

BUDDY'S DROOPY (J HALL 2012) SPIDER TET 32" SCAPE 9" BLOOM 3 WAY BRANCHING 15 BUDS FERTILE BOTH WAYS, PODS NOT EASY [BUDDY'S WILD AND WONDERFUL X FRENCH TWIST]

James does not have a website yet, he just sells on the Lily Auction. He has listed it before and I'm sure will do so again. If you are a lily auction user you can save the name in your want list and it will notify you when one is listed.

That will be your best way to get it Marilyn, with it being a 2012 intro I would not sell any of it the same year James releases it. You can also contact him via the lily auction to see if he will sell one.

This will be the last photo I post of the display area until bloom season. The only thing left to do other than add some more daylilies is finish the watering system and plant some grass. This is a view from the house looking east. I have worked on this thing for over two weeks and to tell the truth I'm about sick of it, time to move on to the next project.

Fantastic! You've worked hard but have gained a beautiful garden area!! Now what's next? I know what I'd do, take the rest of the week off and do what Fred enjoys doing. Oh, me, working in the daylily beds is what Fred enjoys. So get busy and do another one!!

Blessings, Mona

Completed the watering system yesterday, everything is automatic so all the daylilies will get water during our travels this coming year. Will get some sod after the 1st to put in the bare spots. Thanks for putting up with this, and thanks for all the comments.

What a lot of work, but the results are fantastic! You must have energy like the Energizer Bunny. I just hope I can work in my garden in the spring after all I have been through with three broken bones in my ankle and lower leg. I have a few months to get it back to as near normal as possible.

Yes Fred, please do get some sod. I wouldn't want to get my feet muddy while touring your place during the regional Hilarious!
