Welcome Freda! I won't repeat what everyone else said because it would be MOST redundant! They all speak the truth.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I am glad to be here, looks like I am in great company! In the summer I am hardly on the computer. Wintertime it is a great pastime. I should be cleaning out closets I guess, but this is more fun!

Trish, do you grow daylilies? I had a daylily friend who lived in Denton TX. Not sure where you are relative to there - but she grew (or tried to grow) hundreds of different daylilies. She had a terrible time with root rot - which is not that common up North, but can be in the south. I think if you want daylilies in TX, it would be good to find out which ones like that climate.

Keep in mind that we just moved into this house, and I was pregnant for one spring, and an infant for the next! Let's just say that the (ornamental) gardens have come MUCH slower than I would have liked.

That said, yes- I do grow daylilies! I have about 20 different varieties (give or take), and about half of them bloomed last year, which was their first year planted.

I haven't had any problems with any of them, but it helps that all of the ones I have came from vic who was gracious enough to share her garden with me so that I could get a good start! She's also in a southern, humid climate, so they are used to that.

Needless to say, I'll be expanding my collection as often as possible Green Grin! I especially get foamy at the mouth when I'm browsing through the database's newest pictures! NOT good for my budget!
