Glad u r out and about Glen. And that Dariada had a cheery greeting 4 u. I felt almost disrespectful posting daylily pics when so many people are fleeing Irma and the rain and wind that will follow. Will b good to hear from @beckygardener.
Another nice bloom on BE THINE. A bit smaller than the first one.Thumb of 2017-09-11/bron/2dd7ee
Most of my blooms are half opened for 2 days. I couldn't tell if PINK JUBILATION opened fully befor it started folding. Must be the wind and very dry air as I have been watering a lot. FFOS on KIMBERLY SUE had tepals remain canoed and remained like that for a second day. It is the first Hem flowering since May that in my garden for at least a year. The other blooms have spent last winter and some of this autumn in colder climes. Thumb of 2017-09-11/bron/2b8248
I was sick yesterday and must have missed seeing 2 blooms of GARDEN GODDESS. It has good substance and is a very light ivory. Fragrant too. The blooms were on separate scapes but leaning into each other.

Thanks everyone. Dalriada does have good frills. I have quite a few seedlings from it coming up this season - mainly trying to snag a sculpted. I have been watering, too Bron. I accidentally fell asleep with the sprinkler on last evening. I woke up at 3 in the morning a bit shocked: 7 hours The Council here charges like a wounded bull for water. I will have to sell the cats.

Go ahead and sell, Glen. You can pay the water bill, then NO doubt they'll find their way back home--they have it too good at your house to stay away for long. Whistling You win both ways. Big Grin

Your masters would not like to hear that kind of talk. Do u have a rain water tank? Probably pay for itself with global warming. The cylindrical ones r not very expensive if u have room for one. U'd need a small concrete slab and some piping from the guttering.

Even with my tank I am very circumspect with water use. My daughter thinks I am crazy catching the water in a bucket b4 the hot water comes through in the shower. It doesn't go very far, but it all helps. It mightn't b a good thing to do if one had carpet or wooden flooring. My downstairs floors are all ceramic tile.

Mosquitoes r getting really bad. Another reason to get my plants in pots out and into the ground.

Thank u all. KIMBERLY SUE is getting better with every bloom. A vigorous plant and seems rust free so it was a lovely bonus plant to receive.

Today the lovely ivory garden goddess under the lako bamboo leaves was happy after much watering. No rust ATMo on any of the 6 Hems in that area, which is filled shale and clay and grass clippings and a little compost under the plantings. I am increasing the mulch.

And BE THINE is a bit deeper pink than other days. Thumb of 2017-09-15/bron/86ba31
