Chuck should update and open his website this month, and while he is in Canada, he drives his bearded iris shipments to Lewiston, NY to ship to U.S. customers.

I was going thru a few topics I posted and came across with a farm that might have some of what your looking for. They have like 2000 cultivayers and 3000 different irises. They specialize in hard to find ones. I took a screenshot of their about me on facebook..its voss iris farm.

Hi Richard, thanks for the tip about Voss Iris Farm. About a year ago, I think another NGA member also suggested them as a source for some of the varieties on our hard-to-find list. I follow their Facebook page and periodically search ebay by their ebay ID. It doesn't appear they've sold any irises lately, but that may change in the future. Thanks again!

I am 99% sure this is the same vendor I ordered from last year and got tiny pieces. TB wasn't even as large as my pinkie. Unless he has learned his lesson, I didn't write, you will likely get something that will take years to bloom, if ever. I wrote this last night but forgot to click on finish.

Thanks for the head's up. I didn't order any other rhizomes from the vendor. (Gasp! This iris might travel alone!) Groovy Grubworm was one of the first varieties added to our "Wanted..." list, and I'm sure Bonnie had been looking for it before that. I guess my outlook is that a small rhizome is better than no rhizome.

Scott ~ I hope it comes to you in good shape and at least a moderate size. And it is the correct iris.

By the way, how did your order with Joni go? I think the 2 or 3 might be mislabeled and I didn't get all I ordered. I did receive a refund, but it was not complete. Nevertheless, if I average it out, the prices were good and most of them are blooming or have buds. She was having some problems and I decided to just let it go.

Evelyn, I ordered 24 varieties from Joni. Only one has opened this season (true to name) and one more has a bloom stalk, so a bit early to assess accuracy. They arrived just before Labor Day last year which is pushing my preferred window of transplanting. Glad to hear many of yours bloomed the first year. There were 3 from my order that weren't available and I agreed to substitutions.

Yes, very late delivery. I am surprised at how many bloomed, considering the lack of time to get them established.
