Andrea and I are not that far apart, geographically speaking, so my weather should be hers, more or less, except that our forecast for tomorrow is "Beautiful with clouds and sun" (but rain on the days thereafter).

It was a bit sunny here around noon (alas, I had to run errands, and not Warp Walk or garden). Now it's overcast again.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

It stopped raining for long enough for me to do a little weeding and such today. Thumbs up

My gardens are currently getting buried in snow. Our 2-3 inches is quickly becoming 4-6 inches. Gorgeous fluffy snow with big fat flakes.

Everything in the south closes when we get snow so you always have to plan ahead. So I have food, milk, wine, beer, toliet paper, cat food & litter, even the obligatory loaf of bread (I am looking forward to having a grilled cheese sandwich with the turkey soup I made).

So what am I low on? What did I forget to buy? Coffee D'Oh! D'Oh! D'Oh!

Cloudy and currently 52, with a high of 61 today. Rain late tonight and tomorrow.

Leslie, the grilled cheese sandwich and turkey soup sounds really good. Sorry about the coffee. I remember many years ago when there was a shortage on coffee (which made it very expensive) my mom and dad would dry the used coffee grounds and mix it with fresh coffee grounds to make the coffee go farther. I don't think I've had a cup of coffee in 24 years. Blinking

If I get desperate I will go across the street and raid my neighbors Keurig. I have a real issue with the wastefulness of K-Cups so I will have to really really need coffee.

Snow is still coming down really heavy. It is very pretty but tree limbs are starting to snap because we have so many trees that don't shed their leaves.

I like this look on my Rose of Sharon. The seed pods look like they have little snow cotton balls.

my snow event was less than advertised; essentially a bit more than a dusting. Say one inch?!? Made the work commute interesting though

Understand that Greg! Still snowing here. Maybe 7-8 inches on the ground now. Trying to get to work tomorrow will not be fun.

Cool, damp, and socked-in overcast weather continues today. The weather is supposed to turn colder and rainy tomorrow, with the cooler weather persisting for a week or so, with rain off and on. I'm stealing a few moments here and there to get odd things done outside, before we are stuck indoors.

Currently it's 51 with a high of 53. We were suppose to get rain last night and into today, but the ground looks damp but not really wet like it should from rain. Shrug!

10+ inches of snow are covering my iris. Sunny today, but cold so very very slow melting. Have some nice icicles forming on my house.

There was a winter storm warning from Google, but so far, it has not yet arrived.

Maybe I can get outside before it arrives and accomplish a little. Yesterday I weeded, refreshed some iris tags, did some raking and dug a little bit, and then raked the heavy dirt clods away from the digging site. I am out of shape. The digging seemed a lot harder! There are more weeds, of course. That will be an ongoing battle. Since a few beds have been cleared, the others look awful!

I worked outside for 4 hours straight! Weeding, raking, digging up mushrooms, burning. It is good to be able to get out there
and get something accomplished. I worked until a big cold wind came up. I figured that maybe the storm is finally on the way. So I gathered my tools and put them away, collected my sweater, which I shed after I started working, then went inside to have some lunch. It's nice to see the clean raised beds, as they all had loads of small weeds. The ones in the ground were bigger, and more numerous as well. To be continued....
