I've got 4 'Pinkster' SDB's and two 'Home of the Blues TBI's to plant out tomorrow. Overflow from last year's order actually. I tired out and just put them in a big pot of potting soil mixed with some sand to hold over. Didn't want to crowd the bed until I saw how the first planting did.

I planted two 'Patriot' variegated hostas in the white pedestal planters at my front door. I lost both of my 'Guacamole' hostas I had in those planter the last 2 years. That last hard freeze in February did in several of my much-prized plants.

Last planting chore on tap is to plant some Black-eyed Susan Vine seeds under my trellis on the front of the house.

I'm determined to not overdo it this year, like I always do.

Man, it's 45º out there today. Don't think I'm getting out to plant those last irises today unless it warms up considerably this afternoon. Right now, the afternoon is going to be taken up with making a ginormous batch of spaghetti sauce to put up for the freezer. That should warm me up nicely. Gardening will have to wait a day or so.

65 degrees yesterday. Then down in the deep freeze with temps as low as 19! Typical Kentucky weird changeable weather but pretty late for it to be this cold after the huge warm up earlier last month. I have lost quite a few in pots from the December deep freeze but my irises in ground are up and running, at least for now.

Highs of 65 predicted for today and tomorrow and then rain on Sunday. Irises are growing like crazy - I've spotted two bud stalks and am starting to get excited.

Today's revised forecast show a predicted high of 59° with a low of 37°. The next storm is due to arrive some time between tomorrow night and early on Sunday, continuing for several days after that.

So today will probably be the last sunny day for a while.

It is 43°, rainy and cloudy. It looks like our next warm (over 63°), sunny day will be Sunday, and it'll be just one isolated day among the cold, dreary ones. I'll have to get out then and get as much done in the garden as possible.

78°! That is summer weather!

I am not looking for summer, just spring.

Fair enough, Evelyn. We have had some extremely warm weather. Nearing records almost every day.

It was 85 yesterday!!! 85 in March???

Predicted high of 57 today. Sunny, not a cloud in the sky. High 57 tomorrow, 62 Monday, and another storm coming in on Tuesday. The ground is soggy and if we get high winds again, I predict more trees will come down.

Almost 70 degrees today. 60 mph wind gusts all afternoon. Heard four trees come down in the neighboring woods while I was gardening (in the garden section furthest from all trees). Power out and expected to be out for a few days. Generator doing it's thing.

Low 50s, however to me it feels colder.

High 42°, predicted low of 26°. It is supposed to get up to 44° tomorrow. Then rain/snow mix Monday night, then SNOW FOR 3 DAYS starting on Tuesday!!! I say again, "WHERE IS SPRING?"

I think all of us can agree to some extent that this winter->spring season change for 2023 has been an incredibly strange one.

Tornadoes and rain across California, intense heat waves nearing record highs, tornadoes knocking down places (see: Mississippi ) and more.

Personally, this has been such an incredibly warm year after previously being the coldest I've witnessed. (NEVER before seen temperatures with a high below 15)

It is warmer in my zone 7a garden in Virginia than it is in where I am in Mexico (zone 9a and b)

A difference of 3-4 degrees, but way less humid here.
