Karen, Deborah, and Ed...

She LOVED getting to pick and slice her own!

We have one more that's ready to pick, and a few others that are bright orange, nearly red.

Shouldn't be long for the next ones.

It's still a little strange to me that they are only about the size of a Roma tomato....

Anybody have an idea as to why that's happening..?

I'm no tomato expert but when I did grow them, I'd thin them if they were all clustered together like that. I'm thinking if a few were removed, the remaining ones might grow larger.

Hi Karen,

I have had a few local people tell me the same thing.

It's a little late now for this plant, I think, but I'll do that on my others and see if I get better results.

They taste great, however, even if they are small.!!!!

That's the main thing! Store tomatoes can't hold a candle to them.

Our in-ground plants seem to be growing well. We should have seven plants going soon, and other seedlings coming.

I just put this jalapeƱo from my garden into one of my dishes....

I'm pretty sure if I accurately described the heat level, I would be banned from here for life for my language...

So....I'll just say OMG!! Hot!!!!

P.S. The greatest joy though is the joy you're providing. Quality time with Dad is priceless!

I agree with Saltflower! Spending quality time with your daughter is what a parent should do, and the child will remember it forever. She will also know how food comes to the table.
