I took some pictures this cloudy morning today, but then later the sun came out and everything looked more "alive", so I quickly re-shot some blooms.
My Dendrobium Nestor never puts on a super show, but I am happy with a(n almost ) half cane in bloom. The flowers smell strongly of Raspberries, really nice.
Caularthron bicornutum is a sturdy plant and has been a fairly easy grower and repeat bloomer so far for me. Full sun and daily floods.
Tolumnia Sniffen starts up again.
I find that my Tolumnias need to be inspected frequently for scale, much more so than most other Orchids. I treat them immediately if I see any sign of trouble.
The Dendrobium farmeri looked so pretty in the sunshine today
And a clump of the tiny Dendrobium lichenastrum var prenticei
Fabulous Ursula!
Love the cutie Tolumnia..mine are just getting ready to pop, I am growing them in my shower
and they are so much happier there than the window sill.
My Aerangis citrata stays alive above the fish tank, and I am happy it is blooming from two modest spikes. This one was hanging on for years, but it actually started to turn the corner a bit with the added humidity.

And finally my Paphiopedilum has made her full bloom!
The long wait that started Dec 2011, just so happy it did manage to push through!..after a 2-year hiatus..

Thanks Ursula! Feels so nice to have a lovely indoor bloom and right at the start of Spring! It felt like this bloom was a month late completing it..in 2010 it was already in full bloom come Feb. I guess better late than never
I find that many of my Orchids, once they find their voice/bloom reliably, really start blooming year after year within a timeframe of a week or two - like clockwork. For me - I really look forwards to them actually marking the seasons.
I was on Extension Service phone duty all day today and then shopped for tropical fruit on the way home for use in my talk tomorrow. I am the opening speaker at Greenfest, an 80-plus vender spring plant extravaganza at the University of Tampa. Yes, there will be several orchid vendors. It sounds like a fun day.
