Everything is an aggressive re-seeder this year here. Much more than usual. It's the weather. Not much you can do about that. Just enjoy the bounty.

NJ Bob I am tha same with aggressive and reseeding plants. The weeds are hard enough to manage.

Well, send 'um to me ... I'm trying to fill up a little suburban "prairie" and get rid of mowing in the back. Every dog has its day.

My thoughts exactly , I feel like a plant hoarder,every time I read someone has pulled/weeded a bag of plants I want them . I feel I could give them a good home . And sometimes they are plants I have payed good money for

Oy ... a lot of "good money" in some cases. Don't you just hate that!

I indulge myself with what I spend on plants and the garden in general. I dont travel or have to change my wardrobe every season so I figure I am almost ahead of the game.

Exactly, Jo Ann. And everyone needs a hobby. (We won't call it an obsession ... no, not at all).

I never saw myself as obsessed but I am just accepting it.Mostly it gives me something to do to relieve the boredom.

Gardening is very therapeutic in a lot of ways. I's hate to have to do without it.

Think I'd be catatonic without it.

Ah gardening is indeed therapeutic I often tell my friends, these plants are my kids..nurture them, love them, have more of them..but at least they do not answer back The plants like all of us have their individual challenges and innate beauty which a gardener truly appreciates. Now if only the slugs and snails will behave or leave!!

Dont forget how the garden keeps you connected to friends. I moved to a far suburb and every year I have a group of former neighbors and friends over to have a "Afternoon in the Garden" Its in its 3rd year and we have progressed to hats.This year everyone will have a chance to make their own.
I will buy hats at the Dollar Store and fake flowers.GF will bring her staplers and we will have a craft period before the tour and after drinks and cookies.
I dong get out much and am not great at making visits so this event gets everyone together for gossip and fun.

Jo Ann, that sounds like a lot of fun ... both your tour and the hat making. Hope we get to see some of them.

Jo Ann, what fun! And they bring it to you so no traveling. I used to think nothing of driving 70 or 80 miles to spend two hours and come home. But I dislike going places these days, so having people come to see ME is an appealing prospect.

I was a longdistance travller and used to go miles to buy plants.
