This is Cocoa Pink. It's always the first dwarf to bloom in my garden every year. I'm so excited. This is the start of the season proper here. Within the next few weeks, everything's going to start blooming.

Edited to say I misidentified this iris by looking at the wrong spot on my map of this iris bed. It's 'Chanted,' not 'Cocoa Pink.' I've got to learn not to plant such similar irises next to each other.

Beautiful, but I stopped trying to grow dwarfs a long time ago, they just don't do anything here for me. Instead I grow intermediates. I have a lot of those that will bloom for me. But yours is a beauty, thanks.

I have heard that from a friend who is an iris grower. I am glad that the IBs will grow nicely.

Well I found my Cocoa Pink, it's in the ground and has several buds coming up. Then I found this tiny cutie blooming in one of the pots, this is a SDB, Time To Shine. Such a pretty blue.

I keep telling myself not to be jealous, that mine will be in bloom when these are long gone. It kinda works.

Bloom time will be here before you know it, and unfortunately, will be over way too fast. Always is. Then we can look forward to the rest year's blooming plants.

DH beginning to feel the knobs down above the rhizomes of the pumilas. So Season may not be too far off.

Cocoa Pink is one of my favorites. Mine opened yesterday.
