Thanks, Char! I am growing to appreciate the scupted and pleated forms of the daylily flower. I want to try some and appreciate the names of your favorites. I will start from there.

Wow, so nice to see so many lovely daylilies into August. Desire of Nations is certainly a stunning double! Love the light purple halo and white edge.

Lycean has such a nice wide yellow chicken fat. I was hoping to make a cross on this daylily but it did not grow well in its current location.
The blue on Blue Venom is so lovely, Valerie!

Thanks for posting Explosion in the Pain Factory. I would love to see more of its pics if it produces more blooms.

Love love the dark eyes on Sun Panda and Falkor. The purple on Skin of My Teeth is to die for!

kousa, I love typos and generate them by the dozens. Someone really needs to name a daylily 'Explosion in the Pain Factory," it sounds like a daylily that might be introduced by Judy Davisson's evil twin sister.

It wouldn't need to be as outlandish as EXPLOSION IN THE PAINT FACTORY but I can imagine its scapes reaching out to trip you as you walk by.

Wow, there's a lot of eye candy in this thread tonight. To many for picking favorites.... I tip my hat to you. to everyone for sharing all the beautiful images. After a soggy start to the day the sun came out and rescued me from finishing all the housework Smiling

Found these two polys this morning....
Never seen a poly on Jellyroll Morton before, it was huge! And Hidden Cameras which throws a poly or two every year.

The last bloom for the season on Forest For the Sun.

A normal single bloom on Jellyroll Morton...

Silver Waffle is one of my favorites with crepe textured blooms. Albion Moonlight and Pearls Before Swine are two others.

A couple twofers....
Planet Claire, a nocturnal with huge bright lemon yellow blooms.

Window of Opportunity, wonderful saturated color with a tiny thread of white on the edge.

A couple diploid UF's...
Fitzasaurus, Gnarly Gnome and Spooner all dancing to their own beat.

and a couple of pattern eyes....
There's a Place, one of my garden favorites, and a new one to the garden last year Timeless Beauty.

Amazing blooms everyone. Many is worthy for any list.
Marcia the deep red one look like Prairie Wildfire. The one you have tagged as Daring Deception based on the blooms that I have seen is not. The eye is too big. Peggy Jeffcoat look likely.

Floating Flute

The name in the NGA database has been corrected to 'Floating Flute'. Thank you @Char nodding .

Bloom form is described as open. However, this bloom is wild-looking to me. I'm not very knowledgeable about all the bloom forms but when I hear something described as open I think of a bloom sort of simple star-shaped with petals and sepals too wide and short to be spider type blooms, but not round forms. With the pinching and ruffles and asymmetrical form shown 'Floating Flute' doesn't fit my conception. I'd like to see a clump photo of it in bloom .
