Gosh your flowering trees are just gorgeous, gorgeous! Just think how nice some tulips around the base might look. Thumbs up Whistling

Those tulips in Tower Square are not quite red. They are the most pretty unusual color and just glowed in the sunlight. They are called BIG CHIEF and are darwin tulips. Both Brent&Beckies and Scheepers sell them.

You can order early so they will ship in the fall. Another good thing is to look into Brent&Beckies half price sale in the late fall. Of course not everything is there then as many things are sold out. But the prices are terrific.

I did look all around to see if any other iris might have a stalk but that one is the only one so far. Too early for stalks here yet anyway.

I talked to the camera guy & I can finish up our last slide film. I will have to get a camera which I can focus, not autofocus & one that can be held without shaking.

Stalks coming up all over the place in the front yard iris beds. Not so much in the backyard. But it still seems early to me for TB iris bloom.

This is my Iris bed. It is alongside my garage. It used to be filled with hostas, then I had to remove a tree last summer and the hosta had problems adjusting to being along the west wall without shade.
It's perfect for an iris bed because the overhang from the house keeps it on the dryer side.

I have some minis blooming right now. The only stalks I have are on Olympic Challenge. It bloomed mid May last year, I expect it to be a week ahead this season. The warm March made everything grow like crazy, but this more seasonable, frosty weather we have had in April has brought things mostly back to a more normal bloom season for now.

Many of these iris were gifts from Mit last fall.~Jan
