Double spike sounds good! Thumbs up
Sigmatostalix unguiculata? Such a funny little thing! I have never seen a Sigmato I didn't like. Nice Laelia anceps!

Here is my Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite 'Ursula'. The spike is a bit shorter this year and in previous years I had at least 2 spikes. I honestly think, last Summer was too short and cool for this one to put on good growth.

- and the plant showing also last year's pseudo-bulbs. This Orchid is deciduous due to the Calanthe Rozel parent, which also drops its leaves.

Grief, all these gorgeous orchids and I'm just now starting to check things out. My absence has been strictly work related. That's a good thing. I'm low on photos, again because of work, but will eventually get my act together.

Kathy, I think of you during those infrequent times I wheel an orchid into the OR. Actually I strive for a holistic approach but sometimes extreme surgery and/or chemotherapy is in order. BTW, I've got a very good orchid surgical and recovery room record.

Here's Cym. Leodogran 'Cradlemont', still going and sharing space with a Clivia.

Great show everyone. I've been hoping my flight to DC would be cancelled but it's not to be. I'm too little to be in all that snow. Cold and wet here. This has been a terrible winter.

A little off topic but last summer I did an interview for a local TV program about Pitcher plants. Here is the link. Click on Pretty as a Pitcher to see the 20 minute show. I come on after about 7 minutes. http://www.cbc.ca/landandseanl...

Todd, can't seem to get the video to work.
Vandofinetia blaupunkt was blooming all fall. And now I just found a spring spike growing. I have many of these crosses but this is the most consistent bloomer!

For all you dollar orchid buyers. I bought the Dendrochilum wenzelii BIG. It blooms like this every year.
Sad news. Laurel thinks I may have fungus gnats. Fun!
