I wouldn't know it but with your instructions I do now. Thanks again!

BTW, folks are asking how you get those nice black backgrounds. Can you comment on this thread? http://cubits.org/orchids/thre...

Thanks, Ursula. I am investigating the various and many growing mediums. Tomorrow I am going to a Botanic Garden greenhouse teeming with orchids and plan to examine all the mediums, and probably come home with more "you know whats".

Janice, come home with something pretty!

Here is a Vanda I bought last year from Silva Orchids labeled Vanda coerulea x Vanda amesiana. Checking the RHS register, it is registered as Vanda Martha Ragan. I have been watching a spike for many weeks and now the buds are opening.

The blooms are getting a little more pink as they mature.

the somewhat "muted" plant in the greenhouse - but I think you can see the size.

I do hope all the buds make it.
This plant does a lot better mounted horizontally on a piece of tree-fern/growing bare root.
(I bought this as a small plant about 5 years ago, it did poorly in a pot so I moved it to a mount)

They are both wonderful. Where do you keep the lundii? On a shelf or suspended?

They are both leafless varieties. The little flowers are a bit bent from the ride. It has 4 spikes! Should get better and better.
