My best attempt is a big hanging basket with a fragrant begonia in it. Right at nose level! It's hanging from a huge oak branch that also has orchids growing on it.
I did see a magnificent "living wall" at Epcot last spring. Truly a plant tapestry! Wish I could find one of the pictures I took of it.
Darn, I wish I could find the pictures I took of my hanging herb garden two years ago. I followed the idea of using a hanging shoe rack and used each pocket as a mini planter. It worked out quite well The pictures being posted are quite inspirational though! I should really use up some of the porch air space for a few of shadow-dwellers.

They actually outgrew the shoes and I replanted with lobellia in spring. I now have three little pairs of Crocs on the fence with sedums, etc.
The succulents take less soil than spring flowers
