Susan, they do really well for me in Florida but Kathy has trouble getting them to bloom up in your neck of the woods. You should talk with her about them.

Hi everyone...I'm back from my summer from H***! All my field work is finally over...I actually clued up 10 days early. I'm can finally sit back a relax a bit. Mind you, I am so far behind in my garden I'll never catch up. I completely missed my iris season (my other passion). I hope I don't have to spend next summer like this!

I did have a 10 day trip to Calgary and I did manage to get to Paramount where I bought 6 new Paphs.

Meanwhile, I do have quite a few orchid open in my modest collection compared to many of you these days! Several are first time bloomers.

And I finally managed to get some Phrags to bloom for a second time. I actually have 3 others in spike! This is Green Hornet

My Mom watered the orchids for me on a schedule I left her...she did a bang-up job despite forgetting to let the Phrags sit in the water! Here is Jason Fischer. I'll have a few more pictures by this weekend.

This one is indestructable! It usually blooms from spring to fall, for me, but this year it has been shy.

Susan, yes - you do need a Psychopsis!! Absolutely!! I have mine in decent light outside (without baking it) and right now I water daily. I understand they hate to have their roots disturbed.
