Todd, welcome back and thanks for the paph and phrag show. I'm especially fond of Green Hornet.

Bree, nice show as always. I love your new paph Fairrieanum x Victoria-Regina. I do wish I could grow them.

Paphiopedilum Shin-Yi Pulsar and the Green Hornet are amazing. Todd, could you explain to me what you mean about the Phrags sitting in the water? Do you mean for a few hours after watering or all the time?

Hope Todd will chime in soon. Phrags (and not all of them I hear from Glen Decker) are the only orchid that can sit in a saucer of water all the time. Sometimes I do it, sometimes not.

Bree, looking forward to that next bud on paph fairrieanum x victoria-regina to open so we can all see her beauty!!! Curious where you buy them.....

Never heard of it here. But lots of other anomalies! Like my weird shaped flowers on some flowers this winter.

Hmmmmm. I have used a mix that's part cocoa chips in many of my cyms. Did it rot the roots?

Susan, many of the phrags, in the wild, grow adjacent to streams, waterfalls, etc and grow with their roots dangling in the water. All those I have with Phrag besseae in their background seem to love sitting in water...some people even grow them semi-hydroponically. I let mine sit in water 1/2 inch deep. I change the water every 5 days or so since the water should be fresh not stale. Seems to work.

Paph Golddollar...took 3 years to re-bloom but this spike has 4 buds!
