Another crazy label mixup. I don't know if some nasty ghost goes around to switch labels on me but here I have a beautiful cattleya and I take out the label so that I can enter it into my database and it says: Dtps Sogo Manager which is a yellow Doritaenopsis. My plant is a deep purple. I have no idea how this is happening.

Isn't Chia Lin more red? I just checked pics of Chia Lin. I dodn't think we have a match. It'll just be one more of my lost orphans. What are you gong to do? I can still enjoy it.
Just started dividing and repotting and making new labels.

wait a minute - I just went outside to actually look at the plant. The photo does not do a Chia Lin justice but the actual plant does. It has the same inside as the pics of others show. We'll baptize it Chia Lin then. Not the end of the world if it's wrong.
Only it looks green to me. Great contrast with the white. Love those gorgeous big catts!! Your C. Golden Bug is outrageous Ursula!! Mine is in bud. Love the fade to white centers on the Rhynchostylis coelestis x Vandofinetia Pat Arcari. Never get tired of these little vandaceous plants!!
Funny you say that jim about not being able to find a susan ong because id never heard of it and showed my Vanda growing friend the picture thinking he'd love it and he says 'yeah i have 2 of them'. haha! I want one to! I can't help you outside Australia though.
Oh love the green paph.
Somewhere I read that someone bought it from Aloha Orchids. That could be where it's from because I have bought from them. There is no listing on their website but I would still write to them to ask if they carry them.
I googled Susan Ong and the first site which comes up is a huge website with the most gorgeous Vandas etc.
Australian.....
About the Golden Bug - the buds are much closer together this year, those are very compact spikes. I think it got more/too much? sun this Summer. Looking at it - they really are large BUGS!
A few from today.
