I showed my Mom some of your photos on my iPad. She said..."one woman has all that?"

Then I told her about your bulbs, azelea, roses, etc. etc. She is amazed! So am I!

Green Grin! Thanks Juli. Sometimes I am amazed that it is all here myself. Hilarious!

The roses are coming along nicely and should bloom like crazy this spring. I sprayed yesterday and was just amazed at all the buds everywhere.

That's easy. WESTERLAND. Almost no spray, lovely and desease free. But I only have a few climbers so maybe not much of a choice? Whistling Hilarious! If you want a red climber DON JUAN is simply lovely but needs spraying.

Thank you Rita. I like the idea of not having to spray. I knew
you would know. You have so many lovely roses.

Thanks. I spray them every two weeks with systemic fungicide. If I didn't I would have blackspot everywhere. I like my roses green and clean. None of those horrid yellow leaves and bare twigs for me. It is very humid here in the summer. No spray doesn't work so well. There are exceptions and WESTERLAND is one of them.

I want to change this area of the garden and put in a veggie garden instead of the roses I have growing there now.

Thumb of 2012-05-24/Newyorkrita/23cd9e

Here is my big now empty spot where I dug out a white climbing rose yesterday.

Thumb of 2012-05-24/Newyorkrita/18f73b

Further along in that same garden section. I dig out the one rose that reverted to rootstock (and I tossed it). Then I also dug another rose and moved it.

Lots of roses still left that need to be moved. It is raining so I am not out there working. But I want this area to be a veggie garden so I have to move all that stuff out. I did get the two big upright sedums that were in there moved yesterday.

Of all the lupines I had in that little tree garden, I only have the one bloom. There are four plants but the rest all died. I just planted snapdragons in there for summer color this year while I think about whether to plant more lupines or not.

If they are still here and don't die, then I am sure they will. I figgure I will try again to plant more but not this year. They are just so pretty! Even the leaves are pretty.

The Tall Beared are about done here, only a few blooming. There are lots of Siberians blooming now. I have this section in my front yard were I planted Sibs and crammed in all I could fit. It has taken afew years to fill in but finially this year starting to look like what I envisioned when I planted them. Some views of the area.
