Jim, no thanks on the fragrance. We're enjoying having you grow that monster and show it to us. Good thing it has nice foliage!

Ursula, lovely woodland tour there! That deer is just smiling for the camera . . .

My first Gloriosa lily is open, and the plumerias are just starting to bloom, too. They smell really nice . . . like a flower should, may I say.

Jim, that is the most repulsive looking 'flower' I have ever seen..and add the smell of rotting flesh to the package.... Rolling on the floor laughing
Ursula, what wonderful pictures you've got there from your visit to PA...all gems! I'm kind of partial to the telephoto myself.
Nice gloriosa , Elaine...mine are just inches high out of the ground..I love them , and yours has great color!

Me too but it would break my heart if the lily beetles got it.

Do they bother the Gloriosa's as well as the other lillies?
The tubers are completely different...smooth cigar shaped items... or do the beetles eat the flowers?

Beautiful color, Ursula. I didn't know you could grow azaleas up there.

We just received a nice rain shower but we need lots more to support the onset of the 90 degree days. I put in some edging, landscape cloth and mulch this morning before the sun began to melt my shovel.and forced me inside. The only way to accomplish any landscape work is to be ready to go at daybreak and have the project wrapped up by noon. By the way, I brought home yet another rare palm today. It's an Arikury palm (Syagrus schizophylla). I must have a reputation as a rare palm collector as growers are calling me when they run across something weird. Shrug!

Not a bad reputation to have! Thumbs up

Regarding the Azaleas here in NJ - pretty much everybody has them growing in front of their houses around here, they provide nice color in the Spring. This pink one came with the house, I always liked it.

I think that will be 32 different varieties of palms in the garden. This place is getting full.

'Tis a scarry night in Odessa as Mr. Stinky has opened two blooms simultaneously. It is a great party for the flesh flies. I think I can hear tiny live music coming from the garden. Hilarious!

Beautiful! I love the Datura and the Bird of Paradise.
Your stink bombs look awesome. You mentioned it once before I think, but do you have a name for this Amorphophallus?
