I also love the lilies...I am having problems with lilies..Last year I dug and reset some bulbs..With the warm spring they started coming up early and then we had some rain and cold weather..Actually we had a freeze and my lilies are kind of yellow and it doesn't look like they will even bloom..Any ideas..the new bulbs I ordered this spring are growing nicely as are my dark red Asiatics.

Veronica, I lost some Lilies from the late frost also, as well as some of the Nikko Blue Hydrangeas that had budded early. Group hug

Same losses here; and they still look awful, especially the Hydrangeas since they're more focal points.

I don't know, Veronica. I think we may have some lilies that won't bloom this year, but I'm hoping they'll be okay for next year. Shrug!

Asiatics are just beginning here.

Thanks, Janice.

I'm thankful every morning that particular clematis ended up in a direct sight-line from the kitchen window and our deck. Big Grin

I put compost on one of my tomato garden areas (Not the new one). Then I decided to start on the moving of plants project. I moved two large clumps of upright sedum. One split in half so I now have two plants planted elsewhere out of that one. Then the other I was able to get moved in one clump even though it is so big I could have made four plants out of it. I just wanted to get it moved!

I was also able to dig out two of the rose bushes that are going to have to move. One had reverted to rootstock and was no good (would have had to be replaced anyway) and the other was a white climber that never did anything for me and I just don't want. But I wasn't motivated to dig it out until now. So both got dug out and tossed. Cut up and in a garbage bag that will go out in the trash after I fill it up.

It was harder to dig them up than I had hoped as I do know that I plant my roses deep and they were well rooted, having been there for many years. Now I am going to go out and dig up the one that I have cut back already for moving. I picked out a good new spot for it so might as well go do that project today before I run out of stream.

Then I can just continue on. There are more roses to move than I first thought. But I will get it done. It will be a nice veggie garden instead in that area there. Moving stuff is not so unusual for me, I move stuff around in my garden every year!

Thumbs up Thumbs up That is alot of hard work, Rita! Bravo!!

The ticks are brutal here this year, what with the mild winter, and it is getting dangerous out there. May need to get OFF or something...

Funny thing about the ticks here is - I've been tramping through the places that should be the heaviest in ticks and don't get any, the one I saw today was on our deck. Rolling my eyes.
