I've had a couple attach this year. When I feel 'crawling', there is nothing there. Angry

We're live-trapping those naughty raccoons out of here on a daily basis...this morning was the first in a couple of weeks worth of days that I didn't wake to digging damage! Hurray!

Now, I may try to replant some seedlings and get the fish out to their summer home. Smiling I set their water feature up last week, so the water should be ready for them. This year I was a bit wiser and gave the local wildlife a chance to see it without the ever-so-attractive (yum!) fish in it. Hopefully they won't end up as something's dinner.

The new roses down by the lake are beginning to bloom! Lovey dubby Hurray!

Still haven't started planting out the veggie patch, but I may get to it next week.

Great to get rid of the coons. They sure can do alot of damage..

So many raccoon stories..... Hilarious!

Have not seen any since we've been in NC, but in Mass they were everywhere, walking around like they owned the place.

So, so true! This is exactly how they are! Rolling on the floor laughing A 'possum will at least lower its head in shame when caught in the act, not so a 'coon! Hilarious! ...arrogant little devils.

Three fish are now outdoors. I'm going to see how they fare before I take any more out. Whistling They're looking around like, "hey, where did all of our furniture go?" Hilarious!

Yep. That's what I was thinking, too! Hilarious!

I'd rather they stick to marshmallows...(cage bait).

Geranium 'Rozanne' is doing her thing. She sprawls here; too much shade, perhaps?

Not here....not sure why?

And we abut a forest. Have not seen one here ever.

Maybe the snakes got 'em.

Enjoy their absence while it lasts, Janice! nodding

I'm putting together seedling containers today...but it's hot, so I keep taking refreshment breaks. Whistling Hilarious! Only three done, so far...

I put together a nice vase full of dark pink peonies and fragrant white roses this morning; I'm afraid temps in the 90's will soon do them in.

Here is my big now empty spot where I dug out a white climbing rose yesterday.

Thumb of 2012-05-24/Newyorkrita/18f73b

Further along in that same garden section. I dig out the one rose that reverted to rootstock (and I tossed it). Then I also dug another rose and moved it.

Lots of roses still left that need to be moved. It is raining so I am not out there working. But I want this area to be a veggie garden so I have to move all that stuff out. I did get the two big upright sedums that were in there moved yesterday.

Oh, Chelle, the beautiful photos of the Peonies and comfrey and Iris just take my breath away.
Comfrey is such a quintessential Cottage plant, isn't it?
Love it !!

Bravo, Rita, all the hard work you did digging the Roses.

What are the lovely dark pink roses in the last photo?
