The paver guys have been here the entire weekend and still need a day to complete. They did get enough done so that the aluminum men can start to erect the new cage tomorrow. I've given up all hope that things will be presentable by the tour on Thursday so I stopped worrying about it.

First, they put white grout on the glass tile. Look how it made it pop.

The rest of these pictures are general views of the paver progress. The still have some grout work to complete and they are in the process of inlaying a few pieces of glass tile in the steps. I'm very pleased to date.

Jim, that is really nice!
The stones that look like they are dry stacked on one side of the spa...does the
water run off of those stones into the pool like a waterfall? It's a wonderful difference
in texture.

Yes, Lindsey, that is a waterfall. The pump takes water out of the pool, runs it through a filter and a chlorinator, and sends part of it back into a pipe in the center of the jacuzzi. I can control how far it shoots into the air (usually 18 inches or so). Then it cascades down over the rocks back into the pool. It acts like a fountain and waterfall and of course there are air jets all around inside.

Just gorgeous Jim. You must be so pleased. I adore the pavers, reminds me of Italian raw marble (we used to have it in a bathroom we designed). Soon the orchids will adorn it!!! I'm glad you have thrown your stress to the wind. Let them take their time and do it well. Hurray!

The MG garden tour came through this morning with 43 MGers, 2 Extention agents and a hort prof from UF. They all seemed impressed and enjoyed the tour. I'm just exhausted and intend to take daily naps for the next few days.

The aluminum structure is going up and I dressed things up a bit today by putting out the new patio furniture and bringing some blooming orchids out of the trees and back onto the lanai. Here is a look.

Yes, it does look huge. I guess I shouldn't call it another "green hut". Hilarious!

I do wish I could get you all down here. We could have a lanai party, take a swim and boat ride and make a trip to Apopka to watch Kathy's shoes explode. Such fun!

Wow, my computer was down for a few days (by which I mean almost a week) and look at what happened. The lanai looks wonderful. I want to retire right NOW. Want my job Kathy? With two in college next year, I suppose I should wait...and dream...

You must be very happy with how this project is turning out, Jim. Congratulations!
