I'll have to find some photos of scale. Not sure if I've ever seen it.

My order from the eBay seller incredibleorchids arrived today. Found out they are Seattle Orchids and will be adding them to my favorite eBay seller list.

Here is Cymbidium Ivy Fung HCC/AOS. It is in a 6 in pot.

Paph Supersuk 'Eureka' Raisinpie has one large bud. Do Paths nomally have one bloom at a time? I like the mottled leaves.

And Blc. Pratum Green 'Boonserm' Cattleya. Looks like one bud here, but I think there are 2.

Oh boy!! My paphs usually are in sequence but they often overlap so I can have 2 at a time. That is the ones that bloom!! Hilarious!

Some are simultaneous bloomers, some sequential and some singular. Depends on the variety. I used to have a straight Paph sukhakulii and recall it was a single bloom on each new growth. It's a beautiful plant.

Today I went to Lowes.
Their Phals were amazingly beautiful, well-cared for and so healthy looking and in gorgeous color combinations, I broke down and bought one large one and a smaller one. I will take pics soon. They are going to be repotted immediately and out of the spaghnum.
I keep saying "No more orchids" and then break down. LOL.
I notice alot of new growth activity going on with my catts and others. Is this the time of year where one sees that?

Janice, that is correct. I also see a lot of new growth on my Cattleyas ( and related). It's perfect, they put on new growth over the Summer and then start putting on a show during our indoor season. Thumbs up

My order from Andy arrived today:
Caularthron bicornutum
Encyclia citrina - small growths, but healthy plant. Perhaps now both of my plants will bloom. Rolling my eyes.
Tetramica canaliculata
Tuberolabium odoratissimum ( since my plant kicked the bucket that very wet Summer last year.
Everything arrived in perfect shape.

Susan, I have the Paph Raisinpie and I can tell you , you will enjoy it for a long time. Mine bloomed with only 1 knockout flower that lasted for 5 (FIVE) months. Smiling

Oh wow, Ken! I've finally stopped buying them since they just sit and drop bottom leaves at me. But I don't know any of these so I look forward to looking them up! Is Forestview Gardens in Canada?

Yes Kathy, they are in the Vancouver area of British Columbia so that makes for a long shipment. They do the best job of packaging their plant for shipment that I have seen, allowing plants to arrive safely even in badly mangled boxes.
