Check the lint trap and exhaust hose, Anna. Once my hose was plugged by a critter nest. It got in from the outside. That made nothing dry. Once it was cleaned, it dried everything well.

I agree! If the exhaust isn't clear, it takes longer & longer to dry clothes. That's a pretty good sign your exhaust needs cleaning out. If it gets to congested & stays that way you can burn the dryer out but worse yet, it can start a fire. I know someone it happened to.

My laundry room is in the interior of the house so no short exit through the wall to vent outside. Instead, mine runs underneath the concrete slab 25' to end up venting outside. It's PVC pipe. I got this & I have to say it's A-MAY-ZING. Just follow the directions. There's also a Youtube video showing you how to use it.

Because mine is 25', I had to get the extension kit:

Thanks for posting that, Ann. I didn't know that existed.

Anna, we had been gone on a long vacation just like you, and when we got back we discovered the critter nest. They thought they'd found a nice place to live.

I have one of those doo-dads you put on the end of your vacuum cleaner............kind of a snake-y thing that sucks the lint out. We'll see if that did the trick.

Sometimes you have to go outside to where it exits the house and clean it out from there too.

My amazon account was a victim of fraud...............I have already returned and have gotten credited from my CC company for the 2 items that had been sent to me so far. Amazon said "and there is a Kindle". I said, no, there is NOT a kindle (sent to some hoo-ha in Florida, I might add), plus an Amazon Prime membership, also not ordered. My DIL has one, and I have her order stuff for me when I want it NOW! LOL I got 2 more boxes in the mail.........2 sets of 17 ounce highball glasses, also not ordered....................

Help me, Jesus...............WHY ARE PEOPLE SOOOO DUMB?????? Yes, I AM shouting. OMG..........called Amazon to get a return label for the 8 highball glasses that the fraud-ass ordered and the English as a 2nd language Senorita said "we have no record of that order". Of course you don't I DID NOT ORDER THEM................because they have no record of it, I can keep them. I DON"T WANT TO KEEP THEM, I WANT MY $$ BACK. She will have to do some whatever they do and will call me back in 1 to 3 business hours. Shall I hold my breath????

The SU called me about 1 and said that the guy he is helping found something more for him to do, so he wouldn't be home for lunch, so if I wanted to bring him something, that would be good. He said before he left that if all he had to do was the original job, he'd be home by about 1, but he'd let me know. I didn't have anything I could have sent with him anyway, I had told him I'd bring him something noon-ish or thereabouts. It all worked out.

Now I'm off to pound my head against the wall for awhile................

I have those not-ordered-by-me glasses put away for an occasion where they would work for a gift.

I need to call my CC company because I still haven't received my replacement card. Sheesh..........what next?

I guess I will make the 4 loaves of banana bread for the gal that wants them. She requested chocolate chips and walnuts. I asked her "no maraschino cherries this time?" She said "oh, yes, if you have them". Of course I have them, you silly girl. Rolling on the floor laughing

I am more nervous than grumpy. Dealing with the usual aches and pains and getting ready to leave for home. I'm in San Diego staying with a new friend. I had a colonoscopy which turned out fine so I'm spared a medical crisis. Had an accident near Ensenada a month ago; the other driver was at fault and her insurance company paid for repairs. She was Mexican and Americans are often blamed for an accident with a Mexican so having to wait almost three weeks for repairs was a pain but it could have been much, much worse. I'm picking up some French doors in the morning and then will do a couple of err otherands and then will head home - slowly and super carefully.

Sorry about others' medical problems but at the same time kind of grateful for company. My friend I'm staying with is dealing with a serious cancer which is enough to make me grateful for my relatively minor grumpiness.

My back really hurts today. Went to the neurosurgery clinic at the hospital Friday and the new x-rays show the injured L1vertebra with increased collapse or compression. Discussed the possibility of surgery, but I'm uncertain about that. I'm going for a second opinion with a private neurosurgeon later. Also I'm having another Basal Cell skin cancer removed by MOHS procedure soon. Just thinking about when I was younger and not dealing with all this...makes me sad. But I should really count my blessings, too. At least I have good medical coverage. Some don't have that.

Linda they have come a long way with back surgery. But....Please be careful with who does the surgery. Seems with the back surgery thing with my friends and people I talk to the right doctor was the one that came out on the good side of back surgery.

I know how bad it is to have back pain and it is so bad that you are willing to do anything to make it right again. I have dealt with back issues for 15 yrs. So I can relate to your pain.

I am grumpy because I think my electric static body problems have come back. When I was young I could not wear a watch because I would look down at my watch and see the hands spinning. Doing computer work the machines freeze up. IT dept staff was at my desk shaking their head. These things happened at a time when I am upset. My my sister said I was S. King Carrie. Rolling on the floor laughing

Well I have two lawn tractors and both would not work. I called my helpful neighbor he got on the mowers and they started right up. I got on and he is standing their watching and they would not start up for me. This crap stopped happening yrs ago once I got old. I will watch a comedy and calm myself and try again tomorrow.

Got my mobile hotspot at Verizon.......their "JetPack". Works decent when we're in Texas. I gave it to DS#3 when we got home because he likes to look for Bernese Mountain Dog YouTube stuff. I told him I'd keep it on auto pay if he wanted to use it till we went back to Texas, but he'd have to pay half. The day after the pre-pay ran out he said he already missed it, so I put it back on.
