Amazing photos, Alex. I hope you can stay home and stay safe, despite your love of traveling.

Hopefully we will conquer this virus, and be able to go places soon.

Thanks, LG. I still hope I can make it it to Japan and China in the fall, though. I waited for Japan trip for so long and do not want to miss it and lose my tickets and accommodation money. Booked it before it all started Sad

Has anyone found this youtube channel before? I saw it last year and they post every year, its really nice to see full plant and bloom with names in a video instead of still photos, plus the progression of growth.
This year the video looks like most of them are at or near full growth.

I'm a little late to the joys of watching YouTube videos of peonies.

I did watch one where they took a root from a woody peony, cut it into several pieces, and potted it up. They said they had success doing this. Have any of you tried this?
I'm thinking of trying it with the roots that broke off Silver Waves when I moved it.

At a certain level, not too different from removing suckers from lilacs. Thanks for sharing, LG.

That would be incredible if it worked! They took multiple root cuttings off of a relatively small piece of root....wouldn't it be cool if that was successful? I subscribed to that channel so I'll get notifications when they have new videos, will be watching for some updates!

"Crime Pays but Botany Doesn't "

Anyone? ANYONE?

This a channel on YouTube that is crude, rude, and most importantly, informs. It's not poisoned with product placements and affiliates (if there is an endorsement, he lets you know in advance, but they rarely happen). He focuses specifically on native flora conducive to the region. He teaches basic botany with a colorful style. A lot of f -bombs. I don't offend easily, so I am highly adept to his delivery.

It's possible I am the only fan here. More fun for me.😈

I'm gonna check that one out, I was in the military for 8 years so f bombs don't scare me unless they're attached to shrapnel....

I saw the root cuttings one and stem cuttings and wondered. I found an obscure video that one of them takes a one time and one has very low success rate. I wish I remembered, but think the root took a couple of years and stem cuttings were like 10% success (although air layering, when it worked was very successful)

I found a new youtube channel Abode that has a landscaping company show https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Also Jim Putnam used to own both a nursery and garden center and is now landscaping his home https://www.youtube.com/watch?... top 5 winter flowering plants. He has one on bush peonies in pots too.

The Enthusiastic Gardener on youtube is new to much of gardening, but is brave at trying things..I love people like that https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
