Yes it is, Bree, and it didn't have much choice. The pot is tiny and the orchid is fairly large so that 90 percent of the orchid is outside the pot. I think it is a great candidate for a mount but I'll wait until after this bloom cycle. I was thinking about cutting the pot in half vertically and sticking it to the mount. If I do, I'll take a picture.

Geeze, Kathy snuck out of that owing me a favor thing quickly. I think I'd better count myself lucky just to break even. Sticking tongue out

Jim, you chose some lovelies, and that Phu Lin (foolin'?? couldn't resist) is a lovely color combo.

I'm going to manufacture an excuse to go up and see the Plantio folks - and very soon, too!

Ordered some of that magic Keiki paste that Brian was telling us about - hoo, boy! is it expensive for a tiny little jar the size of my thumb.

Anyway, got it from Carter and Holmes up in SC and they had "blooming size Oncidiums" on sale for $15. I got a lovely plant in a 6in. pot of Onc. Copper Scarab 'Brass Brethren' today! Beautifully packed and shipped very promptly. So pleased, as my kids have not bought me any orchids this year. Sad On the up side, the local orchid show is only 2 weeks away so I will save my pennies and go treat myself there.

I was beginning to worry about it. Does it look OK? no cold damage or shipping damage?

Click the link! It will take a day or two for cold damage to show but it was fine, shipping wise.

I did click on the link and David looks fine but I wanted your assessment. There could be a problem I couldn't detect through a picture. Mine came mounted the same way and the roots took off in all directions, grabbing onto everything in their reach. I finally mounted the wood and all to a big square of tree fern which has helped. Good luck.

Tubecentron Niu Girl is Tblm. kotoense x Crtn. fesselii. And it looks like the ones that are everywhere are Crtn. fesselii x Tubecentron Niu Girl. So it does look like a backcross to me.
