Others doing well in late May:
Galaxy had two eyes that sported last year; so not too many eyes this year, but the leaves are HUGE even though two received some early season damage.
'Golden Nolan' - a decade-old seedling from 'September Sun' that I've named after my grandson.
'Green Eyes' is kept in a pot year-round. In a trough for the summer and in my veggie garden for winter.
'Guardian Angel' was a bit slower to emerge than some but is looking good.
'High Society' spent last year in a pot. I divided my plant two years ago and when I replanted half, the squirrels had other ideas and dug it up twice. It wasn't looking great at the beginning of the 2019 season; so I potted it for TLC and replanted later in the summer. It looks to have recovered.
'Ice Age Trail' is back in the ground after spending at least two years in a huge pot after I divided out all the solid blue (Big Daddy) from it. It's looking OK and all of it is streaked but the amount of streaking varies a lot form one eye to the next.
'Jewel of the Nile' with the leaves not yet fully unfurled.
I'll add more later. Half of the May 28th pictures still need to be cropped and all of the June 6 pictures need to be named, resized and cropped. Am chair of the board of a local food bank which is having its AGM tomorrow. After that, I'm actually leaving the board and will have a bit more time.
