I sure hope so. I can't wait. The cut back on the number of tomato plants for the past few years was a total failure and I am happy to have my tomato plants back. Going to be happier yet when they really start producing. Thumbs up

Rita, those first two daylilies compliment each other so well! Hurray!

I noticed two tiny fruits on one of my tomato plants today. Hopefully, they'll live long enough to grow up and turn red. Hilarious! It's pretty brutal out in the all-day-sun veggie patch this year...

Dianne, yum! Big Grin

Your nigella is getting ready to bloom! Hurray! I can't wait to see it!

The long beans are hanging in there so far, though their leaves look a bit funny...might try some of Rita's Epsom salts on them, too.

The red daylily is HEARTS OF FIRE and the other is FOX POINT. They are actually almost next to each other.

Long beans here are looking good but no blooms yet. Sad Growing well though.

I did eat a few of my SALAD BUSH Cucumbers already but after the inground cukes start to poduce I will probably have to accost people walking down the street to give them away, I have so many planted this year. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

I have lots of green fruits and not small ones either. I mean I do have small ones but also nice sized fruit already. I am anxious to see how big the BEEFMASTER will actually get. A big beefsteak type, I have never had them before. I have 6 BEEFMASTER, 2 BETTER BOY and 1 MORTGAGE LIFTER there in front of the porch railings were those tomatoes are big as trees.

Tam, the Tulip Poplar has very shallow and wide-spreading roots which could be a nuisance near the house or underground utilities. They also demand a lot of (top level) water, so anything below it will be baking dry in the summer.

Never had a great deal of luck with butterfly bushes here; they either fry up, die over the winter, or don't bloom a whole lot. The few we do have are in half-day sun.

Cute frog! Big Grin

All I've done so far today is add some leaves to the new hosta bed and I'm dripping already. It's going to be a many showers day! Hilarious!

Lovely flowers and lots of branches. What a pretty country road you are on. Smiling

Epsom Salt- 1 tablespoon per gallon. Use it on your peppers and tomatoes. I just mixed it in a watering can and sprinkled the tomato folliage until it was nicely soaked. I have generally not had fabulous luck with Heirloom tomatoes that I have tried. Still I continue to try some here and there.

Had some tomato taste testing again today. I had a PATIO and a BETTER BUSH so I ate both and compaired them. Liked the Patio better, less bland. But neither of these was any better than the EARLY GIRLS I have grown for years so flavors on both very dissapointing.

Early Girl has been a staple in my garden as long as I have growing tomatoes. It is early and it is always reliable. Plus it keeps producing. I have tried other early varieties and next year would like too again but I am still going to be planting the EARLY GIRLS.

Black Krim was a disaster for me. The fruit ALWAYS split and then rotted before the fruit got ripe. Mortgage Lifter I just pulled out yesterday. I have had this plant at least twice and I think three times and it is never any good for me. Past years few fruits. This year the darn leaves all turned yellow. Was researching tomato deseases but honestly, I just wanted it GONE!

I found flowers on one of my varieties of Long Beans so maybe these things will finially get going. I have read that they love heat so maybe that is what they are waiting for but it is plenty warm now.

I have been eating my Salad Bush Cucumbers and saying the inground ones don't have large fruit yet but today I looked under the leaves and found lots and lots of cucumbers. So I picked 5 and will be picking more tomorrow. I was pleased about that!

Oh, Shannon, you need more than two tomato plants. nodding I wish I could do tomato taste testing with my forum friends as my neighbors here just don't garden.

But so many green ones comming along. Just waiting for the ripe fruit and I am not patient about it as I love my home grown tomatoes.
