Rained yesterday morning from 6 to 7 Am. No rain today but there is always a chance of thunder showers. The only watering I do is things in pots. Things in pots dry out ever if it rains LOL!

Janice the last plant is Vitex or chaste tree Shoal Creek. The flowers are normanlly a deep lavender but lots of them look almost white this year.
Thanks chelle, I love that pic. Been wondering how it would look enlarged and framed.

Just back from a swimming excursion...it's great to have a day where it's *cool* enough to leave the house! Hilarious! (Low 90's today...feels almost cool. Whistling )

Before we left I actually washed down the plants in a few of my beds...hadn't been able to do that for a month, at least. They would have fried.

Thanks, chelle. That is REASON FOR TREASON with PAINT THE TOWN RED (darker) in the baclround.

I planted some of my brocoli seedlings in ground today from their cellpacks that I had used to start them in. They had their first set of true leaves so I figgure it is time. Still have half of them yet to plant. And I noticed more of my Long Beans are flowering. Guess they really like the heat.

My long beans are looking much better since I hit them with the Epsom salts. Hurray! Thanks for the reminder! They're starting to send up tendrils, so they may yet live to give us some yummies. Big Grin

That will be interesting yard long beans ....Ive seen then but always think how could they not be tough or something...Interesting anyway cant wait to see them....

I pulled uptothe drive up window at the bank, the girl working say`s to me...Is that toilet in your yard Green... Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Hilarious! Hilarious! Lovey dubby I`m laughing...I said no It`s just the seat,I painted it...I told them the story...it used to face the driveway...I had somany people tell me You need to turn that around to face the road,so We did...
..
I pulled up to the bank a few days later, same girl, she is smiling I start chuckling...she says you know you cant even see the toilet any more,That is soo cool......told her We can put one in her yard too.... Hurray!

cooling down Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Because our AC died Saturday evening...arrggg....Tuesday house ac gets fixed.. weds truck ac gets fixed....this cool down is a Blessing....

Corn and bean fields look sick most corn is only 3ft tall and dying, some fields are tassling ,but there wont be any corn to speak of..We are now severe drought, the northern 1/3 of Indiana, and the south west corner. No more hay, they got 1 cutting,We grow alot of hay around here,I guess it`s primo stuff...southern states envy us..The straw, from the winter wheat, got blown away,if they didnt get it bailed before all those storms that blew through last week..alot of that happened... Sad Sad its gonna be a tuff year for the farmers.

I had to start watering my Lavandar Phlox and Peonies...Ive lost a lot of my phlox along the driveway,I dont know why I didnt water it before now ??? Kicking myself...

Tamara, They take pictures of these beans 3 feet long but you don't want to be eating them at that stage. From what I have read you pick them for eating between 12-18 inches and at that stage lovely and tender. I will find out for myself later in the summer.
