Got the pile of mulch down a lot yesterday. Also pruned a lot of dead wood out of my lilac.

Aquafit this morning. Taking it easy for the rest of the day.

I have sinus surgery tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous about the pain afterward and whether the person behind us will blast the stereo in the backyard all weekend. I can hear it in almost every room of the house but somehow the police can't hear it on his/her street. They're calling for 100F and heat really brings out people like that. I don't know why anyone would want to sit out in that for seven hours or even seven minutes.

I agree Kelli, sending + thoughts to wish you the best with surgery!

Neighbors who live on other side of fence have pretty plants. Though they seem old and slow, they can turn up music when they sit out by pool! Thankfully, I like oldies!

Will see what happens with TS Barry
Thankfully I am not working so don't have to get out in weather! Will see if I can walk between wind and water squalls. I definitely need to get exercise with house work! Then watermelon! Smiling

I picked a bunch of peppers this morning ( 1 1/2 quarts?). They're the long, thin kind but aren't supposed to be hot. We like to cook them on the grill. We do grilling on Saturdays but I thought I'd pick them now while I was not in pain or dopey. I also got dinner ready to go into the oven. I will be dopey for a while this morning. I am supposed to take Valium and Oxycondon an hour before the procedure, which means I'll be taking them in five minutes. DH is driving me.

I've been home for about 2 hours. I am so dizzy I can't sit up. They had to take me down to the car in a wheelchair. I don't think I ever rode in one before. The doctor and staff said I handled the procedure very well. I just was passive. My nose is stuffed with cotton right now and probably will be until tomorrow. I bleed more than I expected but it's not an unseemly amount at this point. Part of the procedure involves breaking bone and my nose feels like it did when I fell on the bottom of the door frame of the shower. I took some Tylenol. I'm afraid to take the Oxycondin now, as dopey as I feel. I think that about covers it.

@Kelli, glad to hear your surgery went well! The w/c ride was probably safety procedure after your procedure! Few years ago I was dizzy after tooth pulled. So far we haven't felt much effect from TS Barry except wind. Hope everyone ok! Nice to get updates! Smiling

Kelli, I worked in hospitals for 50 years (really!) and it was always a rule that any patient who had anesthesia be discharged in a wheelchair.

I hope the surgery makes you feel better. Here's a tip: Don't take the narcotic on an empty stomach. Eat a little something first. But taking the narc before bedtime might help you sleep better.

Kelli, I'm glad that everything went well, it will take some time to heal. When Serge had a nasal exophytic papilloma removed a couple of years ago there was quite a bit of bleeding for a few days, he had to wear a big bandage under his nose to catch it. I did a lot of bandage changing, but in the end all was well. I hope you get a good sleep tonight. Group hug

Our son had an early morning flight. We got up at 3 a.m. to take him to the airport. He always offers to Uber, we always insist on driving him. I did get a nap this afternoon.

It was a sleepy day. I worked in the yard for what seemed like a long time, but I recieved 2 phone calls from friends during that time. I probably only really worked for a little more than an hour. I dug up this year's batch of garlic, and did some weeding.

Our son left early this morning. The puppy went home a couple of days ago. I miss them both, and the house seems strangely quiet. It is, however, a return to normal for us.

Karen, that's good to know about the bleeding. Mine hasn't totally stopped yet and I didn't know what to think. It's not dripping, but the cotton gets some blood. Eating seemed to make it act up again but I was so hungry. Plus I have to eat before taking the antibiotic.

I'm pretty wiped out. My sleep was poor quality. Some people go right back to work the day after the procedure, but that would not have been me. I did have to have a good bit of an enlargement made so maybe that made the difference.

I've had nasal surgery twice, and both times the first few post-op days were pretty miserable. My nose was packed- had to breathe through my mouth. Sad

We went to the gym this morning (late morning), and found out the air conditioning is broken. I exercised for just under an hour. Beats a blank, as I hadn't been there in over a week, since my son came home.

We're having 90 degree weather, so I won't be going back to the gym until the a/c is fixed.

Yes, my mouth is very dry. For some reason, I cough if I drink straight out of a glass but I had some flexy straws left from a forgotten event and they are most useful.

I'm supposed to start rinsing my nose with saline solution today but I don't know if I should do that when I am still bleeding. It doesn't seem urgent enough to call their emergency number. I'm not bleeding a lot, but I don't want the solution to make it worse.

My husband told me to not worry, it's just been one day. He knows I tend to go off the deep end. Though there is still a little blood, a lot of what I feel is just mucous. I think I'll live. Whistling I handle procedures o.k. but tend to freak if recovery isn't as fast as expected.

When I had sinus surgery when I went back to the doctor for a follow up visit there was a leftover bit that he had to remove which caused a bit of bleeding. I had the openings to my sinuses enlarged after having repeated sinus infections. When I was leaving the office this guy was coming in for his visit before surgery, he asked about why I was bleeding a bit and then wanted to know how long ago the surgery was done. Told him and he freaked out exclaiming "your still bleeding", told him no and why I was when he saw me. I have always wondered if that brave man had his surgery. My surgery helped a lot! Thumbs up
