Saturday I cooked roast, potatoes and carrots in slow cooker. Cooked on high so it didn't cook so slow! Today I plan to cook leftovers as stew adding more veges. I cooked potatoes and carrots in oven first to get them slightly roasted and cook faster in Crock-Pot. The precooking is lesson I learned at work when we don't want to wait all day. Then we precook in microwave and add to slow cooker to finish cooking and keep warm. It was nice to have cooking done because kids came over during rain day from TS Barry. We had 4in rain we needed. I see tornado watch N of coast. going for am walk!Hope all stay safe & well!

Kelli, I hope you're starting to feel better.

I worked out in the yard for a couple of hours this morning. The heat and humidity were brutal! I had to burn off a few calories!

If I had sinus surgery I would need milkshake to feel better!

If I worked out in yard in heat and humidity I would need coke float!

Hope everyone has sweet week! Smiling

I'm finally able to breathe out of my nose relatively well. I still feel tired. The doctor said it would take about three weeks until everything was fully open.

Ditto! I imagine each day will be a little better. You can be relieved that the procedure is over.

I took a friend for a minor outpatient surgery this morning. I had to drive 28 miles to her house to pick her up, then about 10 miles each way to the surgery center from her house. Later, 28 miles to my house. I spent most of the morning in the car.

Now, time to shop Amazon Prime day. Hilarious!

The sinus center called yesterday to see how I was doing and all of the ick and misery I have been feeling is normal, but it gets discouraging.

I had a successful rinsing session yesterday evening and that gave me some hope. I could brush my teeth today without feeling like I was going to suffocate. I'd say my nose is 50% open now.

I got sick at work thinking now it was sinus. Felt dizzy, nausea, weak, tired. Better now! Thought about how you Kelli felt with your sinuses.
Hope you feel better too soon!

I got lots of exercise over the weekend with the kids here, then l lots of laundry after they left. It rained this morning so everything got wet, and it was really windy so no gardening. I did go out and check on the pots, a few were dry that are under the eves and on the covered patio so watered those. I did a bit of sewing this afternoon, pant repair for the DH. Big Grin

I should think about these chores being exercise instead of thinking of them as work! If I attached calorie burn with household tasks, they will probably all get done! Now I keep thinking I need snack to keep going!

Hilarious! TT, that is a good way to look at the household chores, you really do burn quite a few calories. I'm stuck inside again today, raining. Glare

I went to the gym this morning. It was so hot in there! I did exercise for 45 minutes, but I suffered!
We're under an excessive heat warning through Sunday. We've had over 4" of rain in the last two or three days (from Hurricane Barry) , making the high humidity pretty much unbearable.

The gym we belong to is part of a retirement community, and the members are all old. My husband and I (in our late 60s) are among the youngest people there. Hilarious! Most of them hardly move when they "exercise" and complain of being too cold. D'Oh! Meanwhile, the sweat is pouring off of me as I exercise my butt off.

I think I'm going to avoid the gym for the next few days and just walk on our treadmill at home. At least I can control the temp here.

Karen, sounds like a good idea to stay home and exercise when it's that hot and humid. I am an unusual old person, I like it cool, especially when I exercise. Hilarious! But that may be because it looks like I have peripheral neuropathy. Sighing!

We had 4 in rain when Barry came on land. Today I watered plants!

This summer I have been doing relaxing exercise in pool. Then out to eat! That is why I don't want to stay home for chorexercise! Smiling

Saw heat warning on news - be cool!

Tough day. I woke up for the day at 2 a.m. again. I'm dragging. Sad But I'm so glad I went to the grocery yesterday so I didn't have to go today.

I walked on the treadmill for half an hour this morning. Not much energy left now.

Sorry to have been missing. Forgot to check this thread for a while.

Exercise here is the usual work in the garden and take dog for long exercise walks.
