Really the worst lily year I have ever had. When the buds are scorched and even the leaves are sulking, you know that as drought tolerant as they tend to be, they are doing well in this heat and wind. I think the high winds we had on July 3rd really ticked some of them off. One thing to try to tolerate 100 degrees quite another to add the wind when your stalk is already weaker from lack of moisture.
I spend hours a day watering. Usually a good deep watering is good for a week. In this case, it lasts about a day. No kidding.
