I re-purpose the tarps that I use to cover the hay. It works good for solarizing areas to make new gardens.

Great idea for useful recycling. It sounds like an organic gardening method which is better than using Round-up! And the plants don't have to struggle against weeds. Thumbs up Thumbs up

I crossed Carnival Ride with pollen from Gypsy Lord. Here are a few of the results.

I like the rims on the seedlings from the Carnival Ride cross! You also seem to have a lucky hand with nice, pink seedlings. Thumbs up

Every one of the Carnival Ride cross had a rim of some sort, some very wide, others smaller, but all of them had a rim.
The last Pink has a very light blue wash over the falls that doesn't show up in the picture. I made several attempts to get it to show up, but with no luck. I'm hoping I can make some crosses with it to try to bring out that blue wash a bit more saturated.

I love the color of the band on this one. It makes the iris more unusual.

It bloomed small and short, will see what happens next year.[/quote]

It reminds me of American Beauty. Interesting result since it's parents are on the pink and orange scale. Wonder where it's red beard came from too.

Tom, I can only imagine the delight that so many of your seedlings brought you.
I'm hoping that this year I'll have some to photograph - looking good so far.

Jan ~ That is great news!

I put some of the 2017 seedlings into a raised bed and the others are still in pots. Who knows what will happen?

Tom ~ Your 15-9-A seedling has interesting parentage. I have seen this before. It goes to prove with tetraploid hybrids, you never know what the "end product" will be. So many different recessive genes are factored in.

Thanks for the comments everyone, This is the end of the group. I know none of them will ever be considered for introduction, I'm a long way from that, but it's fun to see things develop, and try to get their best qualities to be transmitted into new ones and hopefully get improvement on their weaknesses.
