Lestv said:So Tom, are your flags used to flag the seedlings you are keeping another year? Or are they there for another reason?

The red flags are the flags of death! Blinking The yellow flags get another year, No flag means it hasn't bloomed yet.

Good to understand the flag system. Saw so many flags in various colors on the PNW but don't know if everyone uses the same colors to mean the same thing. I am guessing the system is unique to the hybridizer?

Beautiful colors on your pinks, Tom, but dang, sad to see that the standards on that second pic of the first one look shorter. Sad
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

A lot of that has to do with the angle of the picture I think, here's yet another pic I found of it while digging through them.

Another rainy day picture, there were lots of those this year. This one has exceptional bud count and branching but I couldn't get anything to take with it, so it may get dumped.

I really like 14-2-A, I think it's very pretty, and I love the lines in it. Lovey dubby please don't dump it because it's not fertile .... yet. It might need some more time and the right "cross". Crossing Fingers!

I don't think it's good enough on it's own to be kept, if it could pass along the other good habits to something more unique it might be good to use it in that way.

Here's a sibling of 14-2-A. It didn't get a number as it had too many things about it that I didn't like, including poor bud count.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, Leon, those are tomato plants. I've become a lazy gardener in my old age. Hilarious!

Wow! I wouldn't say "lazy", just smarter. I like the idea of landscape cloth to prevent weeds (my biggest problem). Tomatoes look beautiful vine-ripe & peppers are very healthy looking! Good job! I tip my hat to you. I love them both.
