You should email the moderator privately and discreetly with your complaints. You didn't have to go there, you just did.

Oh well, maybe next time. Hilarious!

I'm new here, I first reported the post, then I went to the CV thread, then I thought about email the mod, but they are not responding. Save your snarkiness for another time. Go back to your CV thread. Go spread your doom and gloom there. Leave this thread alone.

Just in case anyone might be interested, here's the link to the COVID 19 thread in the Sandbox forum. It's full of really good people who are supportive and caring, and post reliable information from reliable and verifiable sources. But some of the information there can be difficult to handle as we report the growing numbers of cases, difficulties that our front-line heroes face, and many recommendations for staying safe, which is hopefully, what all of us will be able to do.

The thread "Coronavirus Info Central (COVID19 Discussion)" in Sandbox forum

We are also sharing stories of friends and family who are ill and either sequestered or hospitalized in dire health, and we support each other with kind words. Some of us are even donating supplies where we can. For the most part, it's a great example of what community can be. There are people there from different countries around the world.

Obviously, no one is forced to take part.

Be well everyone, be safe. Enjoy a little song a friend wrote called The COVID 19 Blues. You'll especially like it if you're a grandmother:

What the heck is going on? I wasn't being political! Sheesh, it was only a nice idea of posters socializing and I've created a mess?!
If I could delete my thread I would! I'm not pouting, I'm just surprised at all this. Confused

Sorry Deb, I thought you want some socializing too. But others decide to come and scare us. Mod didn't help either.

Deborah, you had good intentions when you started this thread and it's very unfortunate that some have to try to change the meaning and post a lot of negativity.

I'll start with blessings! My husband and I are both in our early 70's and are blessed to be in good health. I've slowed down quite a bit the past two years, I don't do as much yard work as I used to but hubby still does it all. He has a zero turn mower and does all the mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, etc. I plant a few things around the yard here and there during the year and I still have lots and lots of container plants. I'm very grateful that I can still enjoy playing in the dirt and I'm super grateful for this website and all of the wonderful people here!

I like hearing what everyone is doing during this pandemic, with the social distancing in place. I'm pretty much a home body anyway so it hasn't bothered me at all having to be at home. We wave and still chat with our neighbors from a distance and we have plans to get together again socially after the threat of the virus has passed. I stay in contact with distant family and friends, via email and Facebook.

It's been like summer here for awhile and we are having our pool enclosure re-screened next week so the past few days, I've been moving all of my container plants and hanging plants out beneath the trees in the yard because I don't want to take a chance of them getting knocked over or crushed when the workers are here with ladders and equipment. I still have a few plants left to move out and all of the patio furniture and we will finish getting that done this weekend. My husband bought deck paint last fall so after the new screening is completed, he plans on pressure washing the pool deck and then we'll move the furniture back and put the plants back in place!

I've been finding and saving a lot of new recipes the past two weeks but haven't tried any of them yet. A friend shared a recipe for breakfast biscuit cups and I might make them either tomorrow or Sunday morning! I have thousands of recipes already and trying to get them transferred over from paper to my laptop ... that could keep me busy for a long time. Smiling One of the projects on my to-do list for the past year is to organize our master bedroom closet and donate a bunch of clothes that we haven't worn in ages and I hope to get that done in the coming weeks.

Well, enough from me ... I hope you all are staying well and finding things to fill your time and keep busy as we all get through this novel circumstance. My heart breaks for the grandparents out there who can't spend time with or hug their grandchildren right now!

I am so grateful for all of the First Responders and those on the Front Lines ... Thank You all for your dedication and commitment to your communities! Lovey dubby You all are appreciated more than you know! ((((( Hugs )))))
~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt!

Gee, I hope you won't think I am polluting this thread Deborah. It is a good idea.

What am I doing in the shelter in place? Well.. I do a lot of reading electronic books. I like those because I can blow up the font and the lit background is helpful. And those are less expensive than purchased hard copies and easier on the hands than gripping a book

I baked a cake for a neighbor. It was his birthday. He is being shunned by most of his buddies here in the RV resort because he is not careful about social distancing and they are.. I felt bad for him.. it was a pig picking cake. I shared it all around ..as much as it would stretch. We all social distanced. It's already in the 90s here and the cake is served cold and is very citrus-y and refreshing.

I have also been chasing a mouse around the RV (don't judge) ..it's such a SURVIVOR.. it appeals to me in these times. I put the trap away.. it is a common occurrence to get at least one mouse in a season in the RV... the slides are impossible to seal.. we try. Once we had a frog..

I am also cleaning everything that comes in through the door.. as per guidelines. Canned goods plastic wrapped stuff. My hands are sore

We also found this stuff called polyglow.. it is a sort of an acrylic shell that is wiped on a VERY CLEAN RV outside .( it will seal in dirt or stains..so cleaning first is important) We put on 4 coats.. It only needs doing once a year . After this we can hose it off and the dirt just will slide off. Wipes on.. Dries 20 seconds to a minute no buffing like wax. I never realized how much work it is to spend a few months in a wee RV.. I miss our NC house and the woods we live in .. but it was nice to get away for the winter. And we met Karen and her hubby here in Florida. Had a nice lunch.

I have been FaceTiming with the grand kids, ..they are home from school and they don't seem to be going stir crazy in quarantine.they get up close to the iPAD camera..I see a lot of tonsils. In my day..those would have been removed by their age.

I have been growing tropicals in pots. I have a serious case of zone envy and this short time in florida helps with that .. I will leave my plants here with my brother ..I hope he gives them back when I return in the fall

I have been cooking up a storm ( not easy ) It's always been a passion of mine. My dad taught me. It's hard in the RV

Well, that's a few things I have been doing while stuck indoors ..I want to be sure I honored the intent of this thread! Sort of boring, right?

We join all the seniors at Walmart every other Tuesday at 6 am to shop for things that are not usually on the shelves. We about mow each other down when the doors open.

Next time I will bring my knitting and yarns in case there is another shelter in place ..I hope I don't have another occasion to use.

I've been doing a lot of weeding, I am seriously behind plus also some pruning of overgrown roses and shrubs. Most of my roses are budding so pruning will be minimal.
Sewing is another hobby that helps keep my mind off things, I usually make flower or garden themed things but this week I am finishing up a baby quilt for a friends first baby in July. Nursery is cowboy themed and I had fun using a couple of cute cowboy and boot prints and a mixed selection of vintage prints. Makes me happy and calms me to create something, a pretty garden or a quilt to cuddle a new baby!
I'm also reading pros and cons on homemade face masks and may use some of my fabric stash to make a few.

I'm watching some documentaries.

I just watched a wonderful documentary about Annie Patterson and Peter Blood and the creation of Rise Again, the sequel to Rise Up Singing. Lots of history, some stunning pictures, and some really good songs.

Annie and Peter were very good friends with Pete Seeger, and worked very closely with him in many ways, including on these books. He appears in the documentary.

I feel blessed to know Annie and Peter, to have been in their home, and I feel very honored to have one of my songs in Rise Again.

You can watch the whole documentary for free until Tuesday Mar 31st.

The virus situation has meant I didn't get my surgery so I am in no shape to do the many chores my little farm requires this autumn. Luckily, my brother, who is in isolation in my guest house for the next 14 days and then for however long his tenants need to remain renting his house, is a green-keeper and he will be doing my drainage, weed control, vegetable gardening, and stuff like that for me while this semi-lockdown remains and we stay at home. By the time restrictions have been lifted my place will look like a golf course and the sheep will seem merely decorative.

I just thought of something that I consider a blessing/silver lining during this terrible time. As I won't be going anywhere or seeing anyone besides my immediate family, I will not be wearing a bra for the duration of this pandemic. Free at last.
