Ohhhhhhhhhhhh it's so beautiful, has it been a bud builder for you??

I have not noticed if it was. Last year was so off with first the early spring and then a very hot month in June with no rain.

It did rebloom in September of 2010. (I know that bud building is different, but thought you might like to know that it can rebloom.)

The pictures of those blooms are not very good as the only digital camera I had then was my phone which did not take very good ones. The blooms did have a great pink edge.

to me that is not a bad picture for a phone. I would not know how to get the picture out of the phone, so I will not go there. Whistling
I do like the pink edge. Lovey dubby

You'll love Victorian Lace. It's one of my forever keepers. I don't have Beautiful Edgings, but I have Big Smile which looks so much like BE and it multiplies like mice but I don't think it's a bud builder. I do have Wild Horses and it's another beauty. So good luck with all of yours, Mona

Susan, SF means single fan and DF means double fan. Double fan implies that the two fans will be connected but that is not always the case. Some sellers will list as 2F or two fans implying that the two fans may not be connected and in essence be 2 single fans. You often do not know how the daylilies will come apart once dug and divided. The safe listing is 2F, I think, though I often say "double fan" for two fans.

Thanks Doris, I was confused because when I bought Victorian Lace it said DF and SF so does that mean I get three fans or they can't make up their mind. Hilarious!

Three fans is even better!. Susan, you are getting some good daylilies at good prices. I am sorry to be an enabler but...You will have a beautiful garden next year and a fabulous one the following year once these have multiplied and had time to settle in.

Edited to say: The phone was ringing as I hit Finished. Someone has 10 bags of leaves ready for us! We love leaves to add to our non-daylily areas for mulch. I am headed off now to get them and spread along with 10 or more bags that David brought home a few days ago.

Susan,

I grew Beautiful Edgings before and got rid of it, since it increased too fast for me. You will love it! It is a beautiful flower. Thumbs up

Susan,
You will have to hire a person to just tend your daylilies for you, LOL! What a problem to have, right?
The only one I have that you mentioned is Chicago Apache. Hope I spelled that correctly. Anyway, you will know which one I am talking about. It is a nice plant. I have had mine for quite a few years.
How on earth do you hide all of those daylilies from your hubby? LOL
Mine would have to be the one planting so I would not be able to hide my buying!!
Have a great weekend.
Oma Hurray!
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.

Most of them won't be here till spring. I will make up something. Green Grin! Last year I had 50 perennials show up at my door in spring and ordered another 50 from co-ops. Plus I get stuff off eBay, no time to go store to store so he is just use to finding boxes on the front steps. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

I'm taking your word for it Cindy, I found a seller that will probably offer it again next year. Thumbs up

If something increases too fast, can't you just move it to part shade? That would slow it down right? I wanted something vigorous for the part shade part of the front yard. That is why I bought Chicago Apache. Green Grin!
