Well I used to like muck rolling when I was a kid. The joy, the abandon of feelings, etc in muck rolling can never be found anywhere else. When young the skin was harder and could be soaped every day but as the years went by soaping frequency had to come down. Now I soap when I muck roll or am well perfumed with natural body odors which happens during Monsoons when it is hot and muggy.
Regards,
Arif.

Very infrequently have I enjoyed this...when I was a late teen and living in Ann Arbor Mi, there was an abandoned rock quarry with huge pits of clay...these we would roll in, then dry in the sun then jump into the amazingly blue/green water and wash it off - for days afterwards my skin would be smooth and silky! Given the clay option, I'd do it, but mud? or muck...makes me think of worms Hilarious!

I tip my hat to you. One mans muck is another persons mud. I give up, you win.

Oh sheryl, Horses, muckING,been dumped in the mud by many horses in my 42 yrs.,well i started riding early (young) first time throw was at age 3 so i guess i can't count all my 42yrs. worth of days but at least from ages 8-10.These are just a small part of the memories i have left of my life passion before life forced me to find a passion less dangerous,i thought adventurous (sp) until i started trying to get my hoya's to bloom & then the beauty of them when they did.

Then i started trying my hand at succulents which led me to sedums and I've ended up with the most adventurous yet Semp's & Jovi's.I can't wait until i get my 1st. Jovi in April. Hurray! Lovey dubby

Sheryl, that is interesting! Did you go to UofM, or why were you in A2? What years were you there? I was there from 79-84 on and off.
The world is indeed a small one! Thumbs up Hilarious!

Ah - I was in Ypsi until '84, then A2 until '90. I only lived there to be in a place *much* more interesting than the town I was from, about 35 minutes away. Didn't attend UM, did EMU and worked at the UM hospital.

Ahh, Ann Arbor. I lived there from 1989-1998 and then 2001-2008. Went to UofM for a bit then to EMU. Didn't leave after college. I loved it. I tried CA after I got divorced but couldn't afford to stay! So back to Ann Arbor it was! I actually never thought I would leave the area. But then I met my husband and was lured away!

Its so funny that we all lived in A2! Seattle always reminds me of a larger ann arbor! I'm from the east side of Detroit, but as soon as I was able I moved away (which took me to A2) I didn't go to UofM either, Washtenaw community college, then out to Santa cruz!!
Sheryl, where were you from?? Many of my cousins are from Chelsea/Jackson area!
Jennifer, I can't remember are you in Grosse Pointe? or StClair shores or something east like that??? Confused
I worked at Seva restaurant, which is at 4th and Liberty (I think its still there) it is a vegetarian restaurant
I tip my hat to you. nodding

Greg, Seva is still there for now. They are going to move because rent increase. Also they opened one in Detroit. I'm in Clinton Township now.

Dang, it's a freakin' reunion! Jenn, I'm laughing to hear anyone would move to A2 because somewhere else is so expensive! Rolling on the floor laughing At least the property values there are out. rage. ous.

I still have a friend who has a home on the ol' west side - I used to live in that neighborhood, just loved it, but I visit every so often. Seva is there but I don't think they have the comedy club anymore. The cool guitar shop a few doors down is still there. The food co-op and Zingerman's are still thriving - Zingerman's has opened up a new place down near where the old Bill Knapps was. Big George's Home Appliance is still there, lol - I worked there for a few years, too. But a lot has grown and changed ... one thing remains, there is still something going on any day/night of the week. I miss that.

Greg, I was raised in Farmington, now Farmington Hills, lol. At 12 I was moved to Walled Lk/ Novi area and graduated from Walled Lake Western. Used to love to go dancing down on the east side and down town, but I know that living there would have been tough. I have a Pinterest page full of pics of the decaying buildings from downtown. It's fascinating and sad at the same time.

Yes it is! Sheryl, I've gone on Pinterest but don't know how it works, will you post a link please, I'd love to see photos! Dancing on the east side? Harper Theatre? Cinderella theatre? or where?? I don't know your age, so don't know what time frame you mean! Its so funny that we all have Ann Arbor in common! There are a few other people from Mi on here - I do consider MI my home! Even though now I've lived in Seattle longer than I did in MI Shrug! Hilarious!

I had a friend from high school who moved first to Santa Cruz then up to Seattle, after she was here for about a year, I joined her, we got a place together and had another person (3 roommates) she moved back to Santa Cruz, but I didn't feel that there was enough going on there for me, so stayed - that was in 1984 Smiling Time flies! I tip my hat to you.

Greg, pinterest is weird - you have to "apply" for membership. I've yet to see any one turned down, so not sure what the point is. Just go to Pinterest.com and hit some of the buttons - sooner or later it will ask you if you want to join.

Tell me when you get on, and I'll have you look at my boards.
