The view is pretty sweet No, not closer to Reykjavík - still in the same town and closer to the town center, so it's actually slightly further away .... by about 5-10 min.

And I quickly edited my spelling of the city!
Sigh...good memories of my visit are often on my mind.

It is really cold here and it has been on a 6 day run of cold weather. Not much going on outside around here. I shouldn't compain as fall and winter up to this was quite mild. But of course I am compaining ha-ha as I don't like cold weather at all.

Kind of cold here too today, think it was around 26-28°F ..... which is the coldest it's been for quite a few weeks.

We had a dusting of snow overnight. Fortunatly it did not amount to much. It is sunny out all day but still cold. I think it was a high of about 22 or so this afternoon.

80 yesterday and headed for that again today.

Wow! I would kill for 80 degrees right now. I have no wish whatsoever to go outside when it's cold, but I really should start working out there before the bees and wasps are back in full force.

Well it actually only made it to 79. It does feel like spring, but I think it is wishful thinking - there's still February to go.

We had that kind of weather last year, so everyone was talking about "Junuary." Later, in June, the weather was colder than usual, so that month was called "Junuary" too.

Today got in theory up to 57, but it was overcast so felt much colder. And now it drizzled a hair bit! Moisture!! Yay!!! How I wish for some snow... or rain.. or any kind of precip! I'm tired of having to water...

Yes, I hate cold weather, I hate snow. I hate to go outside in the winter. I try to just ignore winter and stay inside as much as possible.

wow... y'all live in the wrong part of the country to hate cold & snow... LOLLL move to FL where all the other NYers go! Me personally, I love snow. I don't care for the cold, but now it hurts my sciatica so bad, so I'm trying avoid being in the cold a lot, but it doesn't bother me in the least. And right now, I'd take a couple of feet of snow 'cuz of the lack of moisture we've had here! It's horrible! But 60degs & sunny today, snow tomorrow.. only if I'm lucky!

I wouldent mind the snow its the sleet and icy roads I hate I love to shovel the drive and stuff just not drive snowing good here right now and rain by the after noon and 38-40 on Tuesday then clod and snow by the week end got to love Michigan

It was 72 here today. We spent the day mulching and taking out dead trees. We need rain so desperately! A neighbor of mine had a tree crew come out today and they removed almost all of her huge mature trees. So sad. My poor roses are leafing out already. The winter jasmine is blooming, and daffodils are peeking out. Kinda bad when it feels like spring and I haven't even finished the fall chores. I still have daffodil and tulip bulbs to plant. I broke a few bones in my foot and wasn't able to do everything I needed to do in the fall, and now we're consumed with our remodeling.
It was kind of nice to take a break from construction to work outside, though. The National Weather service says we have a chance of rain tonight...most likely in the form of hail, but at this point, any moisture is welcome.
Hail, fog, snow, rain, I'll take anything I can get!
