Last year, I told myself I had a handle on my breathing ish, and wouldn't have a problem (a ha ha, so dumb), and delayed planting of Schreiners and MidAmerica irises from August to OCTOBER. They bloomed! Even the one that got run over soon after!

They are tough ladies, they can hang in there!

I agree

This is so true. I have planted iris that had been out of the ground for several months. They grew and bloomed just fine the next year.

They're scheduled to arrive, on the 20th.
Hopefully some rain, more than just to barely wet the cement, is in the near future forecast. It may not been all that many rhizomes, but is better than none, at all

Should have plenty of time to get growing by this fall. Perhaps, I'll list them after the box arrives, from Schreiner's. Hope everyone is staying cool, & well hydrated, meanwhile

Today, wasn't as nearly as awful, compared to yesterday. Went ahead & bought Deglet Noor dates, & dried Mission figs, too. As there's almost no telling, of expecting what's coming soon, or quite what will be next, after all that intense heat...

I know that the rhizomes I dug for our club's sale this weekend are smaller then usual I'm sure due to the lack of rain.

As I'm awaiting upon that box, it may be just as well that I still am. As apparently I may simply have an inner ear infection. (Hopefully, that's all it is.) Seems CVS, still hasn't yet, simply filled only a simple prescription for just obtaining an antibiotic.

My equilibrium is so far off by now, as it just became suddenly very noticeable, & quite obviously apparent to me, after only taking a single step upward...

As I almost already nearly just fell over, & could have quite easily hit the cement back stoop, this A.M. !
(After, simply watering with a hose for only just a few minutes, & found out my balance has become so badly affected.)

I'm really not so sure I could even get the expected box of Iris, planted into the ground, if I even attempted to dig right now.
Without risking an accidental fall...

I went ahead, & "paid out of pocket," as the insurance could do an "overide" for tablets, only. It was for capsule form, antibiotic.

Thank you for your concern. Since I'd posted it, thought I should at least let you all know. I'm really not quite certain yet, what else, may be causing this, as already had the "jab", twice. Sure hope it isn't some other sort of a problem... As I was very dizzy, just last night.

I ought to get reimbursed, by insurance. (As I called, & asked for prior authorization. Isn't the first time either, of a tablet, versus a capsule...

At least it rained ,(but just briefly,) last night. (To help cool things down.) I'll just let you know, what arrives from Schreiner's.
I sincerely appreciate, all of your concerns.

Thank you, Laurie. I'm starting to wonder, if it isn't actually, that I'm experiencing some sort of "fainting" instead, or not.

None of these Doctors I've seen so far, seem to know, or have any answers, as to just quite exactly what it is, that's causing problems. They just really don't !
(Sorry, for being so off topic. As I do apologize for that.)

You might have an inner ear infection. Balance is often affected when that happens. I sure would be getting another opinion.

Thank you, Tom, Daisy, & Derylin. I'd simply had a scheduled follow up, this past week.
I'd figured, just may possibly be, an inner ear infection.

So, I'd called the Office again for a stronger, & "better" antibiotic, after the visit. Which I didn't hesitate to pay for, Saturday.
It simply took until yesterday, & had to actually call the Pharmacist to tell her just to go ahead, & fill it, & I'd be willing to pay for it myself, no less.

Originally, I had asked if there was even a scope, just to look I'm my left ear. The comment was, ",It looks just a little bit red."
(I had always thought the particular antibiotic prescribed, was much too weak,) & that's where the insurance, wouldn't cover for a capsule, & instead, found out after the Office was closed, only covered just only in form of just a tablet, instead !

As I'd thought perhaps, the subfloor on the kitchen, felt as though it was moving, & weak beneath my feet, as I walked upon it.
(Seemed as if only, while just in the kitchen, & in the hallway)
Though, not while anywhere else, such as in a vehicle, while shopping, or even just outdoors, & watering !

Since I had such difficulty with insurance, creating, & causing such delay. Just in order to ever get it filled sooner, had decided it best, not to end up waiting to try, & ever just start to getting situation resolved until Monday morning.

It only happened, that I actually fell, late last night. (I don't even drink, any alcohol.)
It was as if I was so suddenly dizzy, just the very exact same moment, as I was getting to bed.
Not certain, what suddenly brought it on, though seem to not feel as though flooring, is weak underneath my feet, anymore.

While I am uncertain about thst Calcium, as I do know, I've had a stone in my right kidney, for a good score of years.

I've already CT. scans scheduled, & simply figured, I'd be given an antibiotic that was better, to start out with. Instead, I had to call back to the Office, as my left ear, did have a brief ache, simply from A.C. in the car.
That's when the insurance created such a problem, as direct result of not prescribed in a tablet form.. I had to do all of those multiple calls, just to figure out why, they were actually creating such a delay !

(Comes right down to, Blue Cross B.S., pawns off to a mail order "Ingenius" Pharmacy, while I'm "stuck" with picking them up !) I think they're going to end up "paying for it" in the end, anyways... Or else, they'd rather not have to deal with consequences of it, from me ! lol

Who else, is ready for a box, of Iris ?
(It's quite alright with me, if rhizomes aren't exactly huge, this year. I'll be pleased enough, when I feel just a little bit better, to get them into the ground, after it hopefully rains, in bucket loads !
(I'm tired from just all of that watering, too !)

I had this once when I was a youngster. It was like I was on a ship and the deck rose up beneath my feet and pitched a bit, and I accommodated the movement to keep my balance -- EXCEPT none of that movement happened at all and my adjustment made me fall on the floor. Bad ear infection messed up the inner ear equilibrium. Later in life, living overseas, I experienced an earthquake with horizontal movement that made the light poles outside sway back and forth. It was similar! Such a weird feeling! I empathize! Hope you get well soon.

Sorry for your insurance delays -- I have strong opinions on insurance companies. Which I shall keep to myself. Because they are not so nice. Thumbs down

Wow! I am really getting an education on Irises! I've never bought any. My only Iris experience came 9 years ago when I complimented a 90 year old lady in our church for her beautiful Irises. She asked me if I wanted some when she divided them. I said yes, a few. I had in mind maybe 5 or 6.

I really hadn't prepared any place for them. When she gave them to me there were two garbage bags full! I was totally overwhelmed! I got them in the ground as fast as I could, not even knowing how to plant them. But they started blooming I think the next year! Beautiful tall white ones with a white beard. Tall white ones with a yellow beard. Purple ones, and lavender ones. Over the years they bloomed less and less. This year, out of a whole bed, I only had 8 purple ones bloom and 2 white ones. Watching YouTube videos I learned that if I wanted my Irises to bloom I had to divide them. And I learned how to do it, and how to replant them.

This year I did that. Dug them all up, divided them, and gave some away, and replanted most of the divisions all over my garden. I didn't know what to expect, or how I would know if they survived the transplant. Nowhere I searched told me what would happen. Then I began seeing the fans that I had cut to 4-6" start growing! Yea!! Still have about 25 or so to plant. Looking at some places where I might could put them. What comes up next year is going to be a total surprise! I have no idea what color is where.

This year I joined the NGA and discovered the Iris forum (and many other plant forums). The beautiful photographs have been breathtakingly beautiful! So I've thought about maybe getting some prettier ones for my garden. Maybe swapping out some I have now for new ones. I just got an education about how much Irises cost! Wow! I don't think I'm ready for that yet! I've got to get over the sticker shock! Crying Blinking

No wonder you all have such beautiful pictures! For now I will just grow beautiful Irises vicariously! Since we've learned how to do everything vicariously last year. Big Grin Rolling on the floor laughing

Thank you Lilli, & Wheezy. I'm expecting delivery already, with box of Iris rhizomes, tomorrow. My balance, seems slightly less affected now.

I'm even aware of something very similar to, or same as Disembarkment syndrome, too. (Even, a French name, for it, too !)
I've cooked tens of pounds of Lobster before, to make salad with, & was all gladly enjoyed, & entirely consumed, by only crew of four of those, all aboard ! (Including myself, of course.)

I already know what earthquakes feel like, not only just in California, but in Hawaii, & even a rare "rolling one", even here, & had watched the Earth below, as it "moved towards me". Which had caused damage, up in D.C. to our Monuments. (Richmond, is only just 90 miles away, on Interstate 95.)

I've not only been aboard Aircraft Carriers before, (While on the launch to one of them,) a long wooden board, with lighting on it, had fallen directly onto top of my head ! (For "Thanksgiving Day.")
The food from the galley, was all gone, after being handed up, to climb the stairway, aside. (Not that climbing up steps of Mt. Fuji, in pre-dawn mist, wasn't enough...)

Nearly, that long heavy wooden board which had broken loose, & fallen free from such rough waves, would have struck my younger sister instead, while being held in my mother's very own arms, while on the Mediterranean.
As seas were just that badly rough, & if were not for me, (just may very well have instead, quickly seen before my very own eyes, watched as my little sister, would have been struck, & crushed, if she'd been hit, as my mother was sitting right next to me !)

I've also been aboard a Presidential Cruise Ocean Liner, (Cleveland, I think,) & had as I recall, watched as we departed, from a San Francisco Pier.
I know all too well, what being sea sick is like. Even went on fishing trip, & as the sea was so extremely rough with repeated waves, & we all became sea sick, within only just a matter of hours, out of Honolulu.

I've seen Surfing Championship on waves, over 40 foot, near "North Shore", before.
I've myself, along with my elder sister hanging onto just a little floating raft, rode a giant wave nearly by total surprise. Except I barely had time, & quickly warned her as I saw it off in the distance, so quickly approaching us, at one of my favorite beaches.(A huge, "rogue wave" quite unexpectedly took us on the ride of our lives, at Maka pu'u Beach !)

Everyone on the beach that summer day, which was well above sea level, was hit by that wave, & it was so massive, that nearly everyone, became completely soaking wet.

Jumped many a time, into Pacific Ocean, blue waters, from heights above. While the waters were so crystal clear could see all the way to the very bottom, at "Shark's Cove." Even managed to jump off of cargo ships before, into water below, of the Chesapeake Bay.

I've even jumped into the "Toilet Bowl", & awaited for an incoming wave, to quite safely, quickly get out. (While may be forbidden by Law nowadays, can still be seen on YouTube.)
That's really worthy of viewing, just for yourselves !

John, by any chance at all, did you ever have a cousin, by the name of Sarah ?
(I'm wondering to myself, at this very moment.) if I've the correct John, from the North End, of Virginia Beach, is exactly why I am asking !

It could just happen to be just a slight variation in spelling, of the Surname. As I do know she had a cousin John, of whom had resided at the North End, of V.B. too, no less...

If I'm quite mistaken, please excuse my error, John.
I happen to think many are related anyways, & just may not even be aware of it, as the family relations I do know of, are far, & few between.
I'd found out online, in a PDF format, that some were even living just a short distance away, even in San Joaquin Valley, CA. & didn't even know it back then, until after having recently read, of rather widespread relations, of only just as of yesterday.

(While I'd also quite just so happened to have rather coincidently come across your manner of spelling Surname, also.)
