Shawn, No never had a cousin by the name of Sarah. I am not originally from Virginia Beach. I and my family come from Germany and Austria. Came here when I was 4 years old with my parents. First generation. So, sorry, the John you're looking for is not me.

(Not associated with, military installation.)

Almost all, were immigrants long before, even the Revolutionary War era, with perhaps only jusr a few exceptions.

I already grow this too and my picture just doesn't do it justice. Bianco does broken colour very well, if you ask me. Hurray!

TB Bizzarro https://wiki.irises.org/TbAthr...
That rim! Lovey dubby Another 2021 intro.

TB Sir Thomas Hanbury https://wiki.irises.org/TbPthr...

Lilli, I just got a box, from Schreiner's. Really like that Bianco creation, you ordered !

Here's my list of tall bearded, (Not that I haven't already some Japanese Iris,) & had been shipped this past Spring. Still busy, getting roots established. I've a few others due later from Ensata Gardens.
While still yet, some are due from the Mid-America order, also.

I'd really rather not play any "favorites," here, by selecting any particular, or of any certain images, pulled out of our Database.
Someone else just may simply enjoy doing that instead, & take much more pleasure by having included it, than I do.

I'm just providing a list, for those interested in knowing what I had ordered, & likely already knows just exactly what some of these Iris look like, or may have already seen it flower themselves, or have looked at Schreiner's catalogue, or seen elsewhere, already...

(While others may be more "visual",) & I really simply just don't feel up to it, today, as if being like some sort of an Art Director, like my grandfather actually was, with backdrops for scenes, & all, at Universal. As I've already long ago, since been even to the "backlot," there...

Some things old, something blue, & some things newer, (to me anyways.) If someone else enjoys selecting image, I really don't mind it, at all. I know, it's just simply only a matter of adding all those BB codes, that's all.
'Absolute Treasure'
'Bellini'
'Blue Suede Shoes' (It's old, & blue.)
'Ciel Gris Sur Poily' (Cayeux, 2011)
'Nuit De Noce' (Cayeux 2009)
'Rarer Than Rubies'
'Rhinelander
'Sea Power'
'Social Graces'
'Strawberry Shake'
There were two Bonus Iris rhizomes, which were included.

well it is the materialization of audacity!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Yes 5 of these at least!.

However, what really struck me was the richness of the broken colour mahoganny brown falls and bright striking lavender standards also broken colour at their base with washes of light sienna undertones. In its parentage Broken Pattern (P.Black 2003) X
and Wisteria Lane (A.Bianco 2008)

Next, all of this dazzling mixture of contrasting colours that don't really go together, yet here they are mixed into this iris. This is what really intrigues me most. No hubris in this image. Its child plant 'Audace' is an even better combination. I also want to point out in the direction that breeders don't pay attention to geography or borders and material keeps moving in every direction. It would enhance the gardening experience if these opportunities were easily available to iris gardeners as well. I'm persuaded that irises in general , and bearded irises in particular, draw people together. They have this unique ability to capture beauty... Drooling Drooling Drooling that can be understood universally! Big Grin

Hi Arturo. I tend to somewhat, agree. Nearly Universal, instead of Studio, & more like beautiful blooms for the eyes to see, as if words written, by Shakespeare. For us to read, or hear.. Thank you, Derylin, & Robin.

Thought you'd all would rather enjoy simply seeing, what I'll be potting up, this morning. (After taking antibiotic, & having some Colombian coffee.)

Figured I'd try my hand at just doing a sort of my own better, single composition, as finally started feeling somewhat well, today. Even if I didn't sleep very good at all, last night, & still have ringing in my ears...
(Might be short, a view of two tags, or so...)

Now, suddenly too hot, & humid. As I'd had to go check on a house rental first, & stop by Pharmacy, too. (Which was so slow, wasted some time, for both, my friend, & I.) At that very same CVS, once again ! Even told her, to come back again three hours later on, after all that...

It'll cool off shorly, after a thundershower.
As a "cool front", will soon move through...
I'd only have to dig up, just only several rhizomes. Including, 'Moonlit Water', 'Oui Madame, & 'Rum Is The Reason," (Which isn't even the problem, in this situation, whatsoever.) Though, which grew here quite well...

I'd simply just start my garden, where I plan on moving to, next. At least, most are still in pots, & can fairly easily be transported. If the lease, on house goes through...
A very large shade tree, is out front, there. I'd have to just need to contact about pending orders, & simply to arrange for proper delivery, to the new address.

Daphne I'd, just wanted to only take a short moment to mention, liked the pastel of 'Dancing on Ice', the deep "gold", of 'Wealth', & 'Moonglint', seems as if it were an excellent improvement, of 'Moonlit Water' !
(My favorite Plumeria, tended towards red.)

I'd actually been rather too slow, at placing my Iris orders, this year. It's been so very long a time, since I've actually felt well...

Evelyn, I'm hoping you're getting around better, lately. I'd delayed even potting up those Iris until early this day, thinking it'd be more pleasant, this A.M.

Wrong answer ! Rained just barely, late last night, with dew still upon the lawn, & no nice North breeze yet, as predicted, either !
Simply, just did what was required, in the shade. (May just move, & would no sooner plant, than quite possibly dig up again !)

Plans are still just a "bit up in the air", even about moving in August. Some place has to have better shade, than what's here, during heat of the summer. While, also just during one of the very worst of months, to move...

thank you tom, shawn, and derylin. i soaked the rhizomes overnight, and if it doesn't get too hot, i'm potting them up. also, need to plant white strawberry runners. i'm intrigued with the latter. they were a shared gift from a neighbor, who said they were white strawberries with red seeds.

http://www.mfirsthome.com/wp-c...

shawn, i had 6 large plumerias in pots i grew from cuttings. one was truly a red, the others were more pinky. i only had one named variety, i bought at balboa park, when the plumeria society had a sale we just happened upon. it was called 'pink pansy'. the only white i grew was the singapore variety, i inherited from DD. she was able to "start" a 6" cutting the kind purchased at the honolulu airport, on her way back to calif.😁

all of the trees were over 5' tall, with spreads almost as wide. we had trouble getting them out of the garden gate on the hand truck (slowly, slowly, with lotta bending branches and a few mutterings under breath as we squeezed them through hoping the branches wouldn't snap off.) ]

That one, rather somewhat reminds me of Tall bearded Iris, 'Rum Is The Reason,' of which, I may have only taken a single image of, this Spring, due to having felt rather poorly, for such prolonged period of time.

Just may never have got around to simply even including it, into Database here. As was most likely, very final last bloom, then been rained upon, & sudden exposure to intense sunlight. May have subsequently, created "spots," on the bloom.

Being, quite unsuspecting of any sort of precipitation, after two months time, of drought. Was likely barely enough rain, to possibly have caused the spots. (Unless, I'm simply mistaken, due to having felt poorly.)

'Rum Is The Reason' (from a previous Thread, of, "I got a box.") In much need of proper division, already. Seems, many are variations, of upon others. For example, 'Montmarte', 'Decadence', & something newer, now...
Same can be said of quite a few numerous, others.

While, I'd like to see something innovative, or unique, based upon its' own Merits, & not following behind, something very similar, to which, of what has already been produced.
I could go on about it, though will resist...
