I have yellow leaves on the older leaves too but not as often maybe it is just adjusting to its new place. I use slow release sometimes too but most of the time I use water soluble super bloom every 2 weeks.

I think this should be fine for as long as it is not over watered.

Now, if I gave her the slow release, I should wait about 3 months before giving it a water soluble one?

The yellow leaves were each on separate tips. She has 3 tips, each one had or has a yellow leaf, the oldest leaves as it looks.

I'm so excited, and so impatient at the same time! It looks like my plumie took off. But I don't wanna jinx her, so I'd better be more discrete... Sticking tongue out

I know it's not good for plumeria to repot it during blooming time. I was wondering though when could I repot it into a larger pot. The nursery guy told me not to repot it until next year. Is it a reason to do so?

Here are a few pics from the last couple of days. Although it seems like my plumie will bloom soon, I am concerned if the biggest of the buds not being straight anymore could mean something bad for it. We still have the June gloom weather here in Socal so cloudy mornings sometimes and not too warm weather at night (over 60 anyway).

Never mind about the biggest of the flower buds, it's upright again, ready to open.

Today I noticed a dropped bud what I think it is. I'm hoping it's not but it looks like one of the smallest buds is black. Could it be a dropped one?

Thanks for the encouragement Cyra. Thumbs up

I noticed another fallen yellow leaf, the fourth in the last month or so. Is it something that happens usually?

OK, now I am concerned. Not only I have a fallen leaf from my plumie, but another one is yellowing, and is on the tip with the inflo too, like the one that just fell. In a few of days it will be yellow enough to fall, so the tip with the inflo will have only 4 more leaves because I can't see any other claw showing on that tip. Any idea what could be wrong? I don't know exactly what potting mix it has because I didn't repot it as per the grower advice, and the pot was mulched.
Please, help me with an advice! Hetty, Gigi or Cyra, or anyone who could have an idea about what's happening.

Thank you all in advance. *Blush*

We really need more info but I personally would not stress too much. If your plant did not have that magic just beginning to bloom inflo I would recommend you uproot it and check the roots. Meanwhile make sure not to overwater.

All branches look good and firm. The only thing that was kind of weird and I didn't noticed it at the nursery (can't see well small thingies even with my glasses on), were some liiiittle bugs between the mulch pieces that my hubby noticed when we got home. He picked them up one by one and when he did, they rolled themselves like a small ball as to protect themselves. Hubby said they are harmless as far as he knows (he's not a garden savvy though) and he just threw them away. Apparently no others are now at the top of the pot. I don't know what's deeper though. Might this be an important info?

Thank you!

I would start by getting rid of the mulch. I think it is keeping it too damp. The fallen leaf looks like it is either from overwatering or sunburn (this can happen if the plant has been growing in semi-shaded condition and then moved). As long as your branches are firm do not worry too much. Wait for and then enjoy your flowers!

OK, I will clean all the mulch then. It can't be sunburn since we still have June gloom here and my patio gets sun until noon or 1 PM, no more than that. We didn't have too much sun during the mornings yet, sometimes it's so dark it looks like evenings, and only after 2 PM sun comes out. Or not at all. Gloomy weather...

Thanks Hetty!! Lovey dubby I tip my hat to you.

You know, I was afraid that she doesn't have enough water because I water them when the moisture meter is on dry or very close to it, and this doesn't happen sooner than 10 days since the last watering. Interesting that the cycads are fine, growing but not flushing yet, and the soil seems to keep the same moisture as the plumeria one. Anyway, do you think those tiny little bugs are harmless? I hope I won't see anymore of them...

Without seeing the bugs I wouldn't know.
