You were looking for taller, unusual forms; this is a Margo Reed creation you might like https://qbdaylilygardens.com/p...

I could not resist! You'll find other reasonably priced tall spiders/ufs as well. I realized I have 25-30 of the plants in the catalog already and yet I placed an order!!

Margo breeds for height so she's a great place to start.

Sedumzz
I have Bali Watercolor and it doesn't reach registered height here but I still love it.

Hi All 👋🏻

If you want any of Margo Reed and Jim Murphy's daylilies I highly recommend you go straight to the source!!

http://www.woodhengegardens.co...

They have a wonderful website with great alluring descriptions and irresistible images. If you love spiders and unusual forms and twirly curly petals this is THE place!❤️ They've created such a fabulous variety of colors and shapes!

The prices are perfectly reasonable for what they sell. You might pay $20 for one that's $15 somewhere else BUT in my experience they don't know the meaning of a "double fan". Try 3,4,5,even 6 sometimes! Some of their prices are no higher.

They are generous with bonuses. If you offer a number of suggestions they'll usually pick from those. Also you can include a list of what you already have. Ours is in that 25-30 range too.

Every spring (like now) I fill my cart with enough to break the bank. What saves me is that they usually sell out of some before I have to decide!🤔

Unlike some carts that save you by erasing if you leave, or are gone too long, theirs waits patiently… like a spider in its web 😄

@sedumzz,
For a tall large flowered yellow I recommend 'Sears Tower'.

It's much showier in our garden than 'Notify Ground Crew' was. It was strongly nocturnal, from its H. citrina background. The flowers would be narrow trumpets until late in the afternoon when they would open into a flared shape. It was never what we considered showy.

There are other good choices too. Check out daylilies by Judy Davisson. She has a very informative website with great pictures and descriptions. She doesn't have much space to propagate them so she is often sold out. Fun names and beautiful flowers to enjoy!

One I have been looking for for several years is Sherry Eash's "My Grandson Kevin" - I suspect she is a backyard hybridizer, but I don't know what region or local club to contact. I saw a post she made on FB last year and sent a message to her, but never got a response.

@robinjoy:

The complete list of registrants, both deceased and living, is available to all AHS members on the Members Portal under Administrative Files. It is a huge PDF ( or Excel) file that can be downloaded. Some hybridizers have requested their info to be kept private.

Sherry Eash is indeed probably a backyard hybridizer. She your own region 3 and in fact, your own state. **(Added: Oops, I stand corrected. I looked at your info quickly and thought it said PA, but it doesn't. So maybe someone from PA will read this)

I've never heard of the town she's from, so I have no clue which daylily club would be closest to her. Maybe you will know, being from the same state.

( you can get more info on the site I mentioned above).

(Your assumption was correct.) I belong to DVDS - she may be part of Free State DS, as are many folks further west in PA and too east for PIDS - Rich is a member of both DVDS and FSDS - I'll see if he knows her.

Gerald Clement can be really twisty, more so in hot weather. It's very skinny.

Captain America, and Jamie Gossard has many others that would fit this description.

There are others, but these came to mind first, as cascade form is my favorite too!

Hi and Welcome!

Wonder if you contacted G. Wild and Sons whether they might have Top Billing yet, or could tell you where to find it. I did not find a trace of Pony.
